We truly are the turn-over kings.

Also, Fritsch actually should have been selfish with that goal opportunity. Tholstrup was never kicking that.

Tholstrup dropped his head after he marked and totally missed the opportunity to either run into an open goal or handball back to Fritsch who was outside. He is a kid though, but big learnings when he watches his tape this week

So predictable lol

You just knew it was coming. We are officially the worst skilled side in the competition and some of the errors that was on tonight was utterly pathetic for full time athletes.

Horrible and dour game plan that has duck the absolute enjoyment in watching this footy club.

Time to officially put Oliver on the market. No more [censored] weak excuses. Paying this guy a million a year to dish up that performance was the last resort for me.

Gawn battled manfully and was a clear BOG for us alongside Pickett, unfortunately he went to ground in the last crucial minutes of the game that got them going forward.

Kozzie is a star. Great performance.

Daniel Turner needs a huge summer to work on his fitness. First half had 8 disposals and 4 marks and was playing like Jonathan Brown. Only had 3 touches in the second half with zero marks. Was waiting for him to stand up.

The effort was there but the skill level was genuinely appalling.

Its incredibly disappointing the way we're finishing this year off.

What a load of garbage. We came within a couple of points of a team that absolutely thrashed the top team this year last week. Our boys put in a huge effort and only just missed winning. Pull your head out of your [censored].

Hard to blame him too much for the miss, but I am definitely concerned about what I've seen so far from a kid who has a bit of a frame already. Not great by foot or hand, lacks awareness with the ball, and isn't laying tackles. He needs to develop at VFL level, not AFL level.

Yep, agree.

There's 1 vfl games left for the year. Might as well just play him out at senior level for the year.

Had a lot of fumbles tonight.

Hopefully you're right.
Set shot 35m out, slight angle, he should be taking the kick.
I don't wanna hang the kid but I also think "When ya got it ya got it. And when ya don't ya don't."
Hope he proves me wrong.

We dont need Houston

If Oliver needs surgery end his season now.

Goodwins coaching was poor tonight.

Kozzy was fantastic

Goodwin outcoached Nar, he was far worse than that. And WHO was accountable for Horne - Francis in the last Q!?

We also went back to +1 behind the ball at times. I'd much prefer us go more aggressive and play +1 at stoppage, particularly as the likes of Clarry are struggling. Maybe that's a dangerous move though without May.

I was critical of the selection at the time. Thought there were others available that were ahead of him. He has something, just needs to polish it up..coz right now it ain’t it and looks like a potential average player not deserving of a high selection

Imagine someone telling you at the end of 2021 after we’ve just won a grand final that this group wouldn’t even win A SINGLE FINAL in the next three years… it would be almost unfathomable, but it’s happened.

As Jack Dyer one said "a good, ordinary player"

My great fear was that we'd do a footscray.
And we have.

100%.

I'm still [censored] he was picked in round 0. No other player with that pre season would be picked.

I'm very glad he's got his health together and if playing footy has helped, then great.

But objectively, right now he's not a very good player. Lazy, unaccountable, hasn't stuck a tackle for several weeks and is completely unproductive with the football.

I've said it before - his fitness is never what made him great. It was desperation and will to win. This is what's disappeared because he's focusing on other things.

Strong rumour going around that he was Crook!!

Agreed. Accept that he's raw and going to make mistakes. A good preseason will build his tank and confidence.

I'll take Chandler everyday of the week and twice on Sunday. Spargo is a neat and crafty player with good vision. Chandler offers so much more to the side with his hardness, pressure, follow up, marking, goal nous and can kick over 50 metres lol.

I wouldn't and Im not a Spargo fan! Chandler has done next to NOTHING for weeks and still gets gifted games! Id have Spargy Pants in for him ANYDAY!

This might sound delusional but If Jeffo played tonight....... We would have won!

I haven't seen anything of "Jeffo" other than his pre-draft highlight clip but he sounds like the 2nd coming around here.

If we want to progress we need to turn over the list.
Decisions need to be made.

As has already been said, a great effort but poor execution cost us another very winnable game. Port's skill level was barely any better. I feared we'd get touched up tonight so don't feel too bad. Hard to see where we were going to get our goals if not for Kozzie though.  Another pathetic turn out for another home game meant no queues at the bar or the loo again.

Watched 3 clips of multiple goal games.
Looks ok.
Another summer in the gym perhaps.

Looked like we almost beat one of the form teams of the last month. Broke pretty close to even with clearances against the “best midfield” (apparently) in the comp.

Thought Max lifted everyone - you could feel the heat from him, Jack and Kozzie

A couple of moments that they would want again but the game was there for the taking.

Annoyed we couldn’t see it through.

Can’t see anyone being rested now. They will get an extended break soon. Max will rest when he’s dead /retired.
