I’m not a troll just a passionate member supporter since 1972 … I removed that word … but our club jabs stuffed up the biggest opportunity to win multiple flags ..  poor trading full stop … I believe the u23s are great ‘!

You are not a supporter. I have never seen you do a supportive post.

Look, you've made your point.  Your views are well known.  No need to keep repeating the same thing.

You know... it's tiresome reading people making repeated posts followed by those telling them repeatedly to stop making posts. If you put them on ignore and stop highlighting their posts through quotes, maybe they might just not be so prominent. If they trigger you, ignore them.

Easier said than done, I know, I'm guiltily of this as well. Bait is tempting.

Bringing in the big guns now.

Kane Cornes thinks we are bad after our worst 3 months in years. Amazing insights. Re-hashing the culture BS without any proof.

Surprised he hasn’t gone into coaching himself. Oh wait, you have to be accountable, so that wouldn’t work

I mean, we've lost 4 straight finals all at the MCG after two top 4 finishes. That's not just rare. It's glorious in its ineptness. 2024 isn't the only blemish in all of this. We've been working towards this for a while.

last year we were a Gus Brayshaw away from winning a flag imo. if you think that is glorious ineptness, you’re not watching the same games i’m watching

Well imo we were certainly a Gus away from a GF.

Gus doesn’t get ko’d and we are in the PF and JVR probably doesn’t try to even up, getting suspended and is playing.

It’s funny, Cornes’ article is getting all the attention but earlier this week on SEN Brad Johnson had the counter argument which AFAIK hasn’t been mentioned on here.

Collingwood tonight have become very likely to miss the finals.

Which, if it happens, will confirm that we are the only one of the last four premiers to make the finals the following year.

It’s time we stopped going on about “wasted dynasties” and started acknowledging that in the current era of AFL-driven hypercompetitiveness, winning a flag is difficult, and being successful in back-to-back years is even more so.

Lol how so? Our inaccuracy was what killed us on the night. Brayshaw does not fix that. Fritsch and McDonald had opportunities to in the last quarter to potentially win us the game. That had nothing to do with Brayshaw.

Collingwood had no Nick Daicos on the night who's already one of the genuine superstars of the game.

Let that sink in as well.

This is exactly what sums up our game against Collingwood in the final.

So you are ok with one flag given our list under Goodwin?

OK then.

Mate if you’re not proud of how we played against the Pies in finals last year in difficult circumstances i’m not sure i can help you.

Just agree with old mate that we are inept and move on

How did the Pies 2010 dynasty go?

or the Dogs dynasty in 2016?

The media talk up every flag team like they are amazing.

There are 18 teams. Everything needs to click to win a flag. It’s not like we are in the years of the Cats being gifted father sons or priority picks like the hawks

🤣🤣

Yeah I'm absolutely proud we lost a final which gave us the opportunity to bomb out again the following week second year running.

Cheers to that 🍻

Yes. I pretty much explicitly just said that.

I also consider this year to have been a significant disappointment, and I was filthy at the two finals losses last year too.

The two concepts aren’t mutually exclusive.

I think that sums you up mate

We gave it everything. And Gus gave his career that night.

Im proud of their effort

It sums up the soft mentality that supporters like you carry. Happy to accept and be proud of mediocrity.

This isn't even about Gus at all. In fact if you really want to pin point the significance the loss of a player then I would say Melksham was a far bigger loss then Brayshaw.

This warrants repeating.

I know it won’t change the opinion of a single cretin, but I just like to repeat it. Coz I can. 🤩

If you are triggered, take a deep breath and do not resort to unnecessary name calling. You do this often and it diminishes your content.

Just a suggestion.

True we had many challenges last year.

What do you think the role of supporters is? maybe to support?

But you, your tough mentality. you demand more. it really makes a difference

  • PREVIEW: Carlton

Good evening, Demon fans and welcome back to the Demonland Podcast ... it’s time to discuss this week’s game against the Blues. Will the Demons celebrate Clayton Oliver’s 200th game with a victory? We have a number of callers waiting on line … Leopold Bloom: Carlton and Melbourne are both out of finals contention with six wins and eleven losses, and are undoubtedly the two most underwhelming and disappointing teams of 2025. Both had high expectations at the start of participating and advancing deep into the finals, but instead, they have consistently underperformed and disappointed themselves and their supporters throughout the year. However, I am inclined to give the Demons the benefit of the doubt, as they have made some progress in addressing their issues after a disastrous start. In contrast, the Blues are struggling across the board and do not appear to be making any notable improvements. They are regressing, and a significant loss is looming on Saturday night. Max Gawn in the ruck will be huge and the Demon midfield have a point to prove after lowering their colours in so many close calls.
