Best results for the Dees in the event we win (operative word being event):

Richmond to beat Adelaide

Brisbane to beat Dogs

Hawthorn to beat GWS

North to beat West Coast

St Kilda to beat GC

Sydney to beat Geelong.

Carlton to beat Essendon

Incidentally that multi is paying $349 - 1

Extraordinary. Seven from seven.

We can't complain that we weren't given the heads up.

@No. 31 If you’re at this game, please confirm either way. TIA

I was at the MCG last night, Harry is Ben, just they have different names in parallel universes!

Worlds are colliding!*

(Gratuitous Seinfeld reference) 😁

How about those those Baggers! ... Love doing over those juiced up pretenders from Tullamarine and watching them start to leave 4 minutes into the 4th quarter 💉😁

Many Bombers fans were bullish before the game.

Obviously the jet fumes over the Hangar have gotten to them.

They are a mid-table side with a relatively easy draw. That was my opinion of them before last night and even more after last night. Their "edge" isn't as sharp as they thought. Probably still make the 8 but doubt they will impact on the finals.

Cincotta did a number on Merrett lasy night and pitched in with a couple of goals too. Reckon Zach woke up this morning to go to the bathroom and saw Alex Cincotta standing in the doorway with his hands up barking "No' and Zach slinked off back to bed ... unrelieved ... 😁

Sam Durham from the mid season draft. How in earth did 18 cubs pass on this bloke. An absolute jet.

And how did Errol slip through to pick 32? It's not like he was a late bloomer. I understand he's AFLney academy - but [censored].

Watched that with my Carlton supporting girlfriend. Enjoyed that all round - happy about the good mood in the house and happy that my suspicion that Essendon are pretenders is confirmed. Everyone wins.

Did you have a win as a result though @Nasher?

Jobe Watson: Nick Martin is an "Ace in their trump Card" WTF

If Jobe doesn't get better at special comments, he runs the risk of being the storm in a tea cup.

Quick note to confirm that we did indeed break Geelong and should get the credit for finally ending their era.

Geelong before the game against the Demons - 7 wins, zero losses.

Geelong since the game against the Demons - 5 losses, one win, in which they were challenged seriously by last place.

We should get a medal for our services to football.

And also runs the risk of being offered a long term contract with Channel 7

  • PREVIEW: Carlton

Good evening, Demon fans and welcome back to the Demonland Podcast ... it’s time to discuss this week’s game against the Blues. Will the Demons celebrate Clayton Oliver’s 200th game with a victory? We have a number of callers waiting on line … Leopold Bloom: Carlton and Melbourne are both out of finals contention with six wins and eleven losses, and are undoubtedly the two most underwhelming and disappointing teams of 2025. Both had high expectations at the start of participating and advancing deep into the finals, but instead, they have consistently underperformed and disappointed themselves and their supporters throughout the year. However, I am inclined to give the Demons the benefit of the doubt, as they have made some progress in addressing their issues after a disastrous start. In contrast, the Blues are struggling across the board and do not appear to be making any notable improvements. They are regressing, and a significant loss is looming on Saturday night. Max Gawn in the ruck will be huge and the Demon midfield have a point to prove after lowering their colours in so many close calls.

  • REPORT: North Melbourne

I suppose that I should apologise for the title of this piece, but the temptation to go with it was far too great. The memory of how North Melbourne tore Melbourne apart at the seams earlier in the season and the way in which it set the scene for the club’s demise so early in the piece has been weighing heavily upon all of us. This game was a must-win from the club’s perspective, and the team’s response was overwhelming. The 36 point win over Alastair Clarkson’s Kangaroos at the MCG on Sunday was indeed — roovenge of the highest order!

  • CASEY: Werribee

The Casey Demons remain in contention for a VFL finals berth following a comprehensive 76-point victory over the Werribee Tigers at Whitten Oval last night. The caveat to the performance is that the once mighty Tigers have been raided of many key players and are now a shadow of the premiership-winning team from last season. The team suffered a blow before the game when veteran Tom McDonald was withdrawn for senior duty to cover for Steven May who is ill.  However, after conceding the first goal of the game, Casey was dominant from ten minutes in until the very end and despite some early errors and inaccuracy, they managed to warm to the task of dismantling the Tigers with precision, particularly after half time when the nominally home side provided them with minimal resistance.
