like who?

mr. 2 possessions bedford?

obviously the Hogan situation couldn’t be helped. he took 8 years to get his head together as evidenced by his time at Freo

For starters

Luke Jackson-Fullerton/Schache

That’s the number 1 problem this year

Losing Brayshaw and Jordon.
Angus was never going to pass a medical after last September, We let Jordon go way too easily

I hope McAdam can show us something, but he is very injury prone, if you know any Crows Supporters, they weren’t too fussed losing him

That’s the bottom line

who?

hogan; got may and sparrow instead

bedford; we preferred chandler as a small pressure forward

jackson; got jefferson and windsor when he wanted to go home

Sure.

Still leaves a huge hole in the forward line, considering what we lost.

not sold on Jeffeerson at all so far

so yr referencing one player - a 2nd year skinny tall forward - as evidence that we replaced a host of players with inferior talent?

may is better than all of those who have left, as evidenced by his all-australian selections and premiership player status

Will be interesting to see how the peptides go without Draper from here

No. I am referencing at least 3 players

on Paper Fullarton/Schache is our replacement for Jackson.
That is a huge loss on Matchday

Jefferson is nowhere near AFL standard right now

i am not talking about Stephen May. I am talking about the Forward line.

so only one example of all the forwards we gave away. A ruck/fwd who kicked a few goals and desperately wanted to go home

Not sure you understand that there are things outside of our control

not really - you said we 'let forward players go to other clubs, and replaced them with inferior talent'

well, no, we didn't

the only true forwards who've left us are hogan and bedford; we replaced them with may, sparrow, and pick 44, which was on-traded with our 2nd ruckman to bring in pick 13, 2023 first rounder, and 2023 second rounder

even accounting for jackson as ostensibly being a forward, we got windsor for him, so... inferior talent? no

Gaping hole

Schache replaced Weid. like for like talent wise

Fullarton was the best tall fwd/ruck we could get. not like we passed on King.

I am talking about our list as it stands

Fullarton/Schache are the replacements for Jackson, which is a huge downgrade

no, jackson netted us the the picks that became jefferson and windsor; the latter is already a key member of our (possible) top 4 side in 2024

from a player personnel perspective, i'd say grundy was the replacement for jackson; grundy didn't suit our structure as he was unable to play anything other than as starting ruck / robbed gawn of his ability to be the #1 ruckman in the game; subsequently grundy was effectively replaced by fullarton - one vfl player in 2023 replacing one vfl player in 2024 - albeit at a salary cap saving of probably ~$400k per annum

schache replaced weideman - one vfl player in 2022 replacing one vfl player in 2023

Jackson averaged 0.6 goals per game for us. Not exactly a huge hole up fwd. Sure he is very good player on the ball. but we need a big key fwd, hopefully one day we will get one

but to think we have let one go is just untrue

McAdam has only played one game. I'm for giving him a chance to make a difference to our forward set-up.

Any links to the Chris Snott presser when available from the tech Guru's would be greatly appreciated.👏

Again, no credit or mention (by name) of the oppo.

Apparently the Cats played poorly for a half but then improved immensely in the 2nd.

And poorly for three quarters against us.  He can't move on from that loss which is great to hear.

I can’t agree with that, our list has become way more inferior up forward since LJ left

Of course, i hope he does well, he needs to fire in the back half of the season

Riccardi a stellar game so far.

That goal in the 3rd was very special.

Something you don't see alot of from the big fellas much nowadays.

Was listening and every time I hear his name though I thought the cats had it #too old.

Cats press conferences have become must watch TV, only a matter of time b4 it replace drip tray on Front Bar and they bring back under the pump.

Demonland Trackwatcher Gator attended training out at Casey Fields to bring you the following observations from Preseason Training. GATOR'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS There were 5 in the main rehab group, namely Gawn, Petracca, Fullarton, Woewodin and Lever.  Laurie was running laps by himself, as was Jefferson.  Chandler, as has been reported, had his arm in a sling.  Lindsay did a bit of lap running later on. Some of the ''rehab 5'' participated in non contact drills and b

There were a number of Demonland Trackwatchers at Gosch's Paddock this morning to bring you their observations from Preseason Training. KEV MARTIN'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS They were going hard at each other. The sims were in two 15 minute blocks. The second block finished a few minutes early, they gathered and had another 7 minutes at it. I think they were asked to compete, as they would play against an opposition. There was plenty of niggle, between some of them. At the end o

Better late than never … and quite frankly, there’s very little to report other than that training took place at Casey Fields this morning, that Tracc was there nursing his rib injury and that some photographs are on the club’s social media including this one of Clarrie in Raging Bull stance that gives rise for confidence. The other news is that the club has a new train on player in 185cm Dandenong Stingrays midfielder Noah Hibbins-Hargreaves (love the hyphenated name which is just so fitti

Welcome back to Demonland for those like me who have been on vacation. I’m posting this with some trepidation because of a certain amount of uncertainty surrounding the return of preseason training in 2025 after a flurry of weddings including those of our coach, one of our superstar players and a former premiership champion player and bloke, not to mention the recent mysterious incident that occurred on the Mornington Peninsula.  I believe that the team reassembles this morning at Casey Fie

Demonland Trackwatchers braved the sweltering heat to bring you their Preseason Training observations from Gosch's Paddock on Monday morning. SCOOP JUNIOR'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS I went down today in what were pretty ordinary conditions - hot and windy. When I got there, they were doing repeat simulations of a stoppage on the wing and then moving the ball inside 50. There seemed to be an emphasis on handballing out of the stoppage, usually there were 3 or 4 handballs to

A few new faces joined our veteran Demonland Trackwatchers on a beautiful morning out at Gosch's Paddock for another Preseason Training Session.
