The oval is the showgrounds oval. GWS rent it for a fee so those weeks they don't pay rent.

One must NEVER even consider the option of wanting Collingwood to winย

HATE๐Ÿ˜ก

โ€ฆ with one exception: when they play ๐Ÿคฎ Essendon ๐Ÿคฎ

Even then, itโ€™s not hoping Collingwood wins, itโ€™s hoping Essendon loses. A close match decided on a dodgy score review. And both sides have to end up with a record-breaking number of injuries and reports.ย

Those bomber'sย  jumpers look putrid. Expect a Dons win I guess.

I just prayed to the Footy Gods and promised to never again deface another clubโ€™s cheer squad bay sign (soz Blues) if they let Adelaide win.

PS Harry Jones looks like he should be on the set of a zombie apocalypse movie.ย

To be fair, last season they started 4-1 then went 7-11. Looks like the fast start is a Brad Scott specially.

I'm heading along to the Pies Power game tommorrow, (I know, wish me luck) Not usually one to attend non MFC games but with a weekend bye, I'm gonna do it.. Torn against who I want to win however, one the one hand Collingwood hatred says, anytime Collingwood lose is a positive, on the other hand a Power win puts a gap between us and them... help me please

The good news is that if you've already had a yellow fever vaccination it's now good for a lifetime of Collingwood games and not just 10 years.ย

  • NON-MFC: 2026 Opening Round

Finally the 2026 AFL Premiership Season is upon us. While Melbourne sits out Opening Round, there is still plenty of footy to enjoy with five non-MFC clashes to kick off the new season. It all begins on Thursday night with a blockbuster at the SCG as Sydney hosts Carlton in what should be a strong early test for both sides. On Friday night, Gold Coast gets its chance to open the season in front of a home crowd when the Suns and Christian Petracca take on Geelong at People First Stadium. Saturday features a double-header, starting in the afternoon with Greater Western Sydney and Clayton Oliver meeting the Hawks at Engie Stadium. That is followed on Saturday night by Brisbane Lions hosting the Western Bulldogs at the Gabba, with the Lions embarking on their campaign to win the Threepeat. Opening Round wraps up on Sunday night at the MCG, where St Kilda takes on Collingwood in the only game in town in the first week of the season. There is no shortage of storylines across the round, so discuss all the action from the non-MFC games of Opening Round.

  • REPORT: Richmond

Mars is not usually a place known for lighting strikes but on Friday evening it happened twice in the vicinity of the stadium in Ballarat that carries the name and is a half completed building site with limited capacity for spectators.
