Just your old silly University humour not as in your face as the Young ones but I enjoyed both.

I recall a lot of English programming back in the day. Alas , like even our little bit has gone mia for Us rubbish ( Mash excluded,).

I’m so sorry to hear that. I’m glad you had Christmas with him and more time. We found out right before Christmas that my mother in laws cancer has progressed significantly and where we had been told possibly 1-3 years, it’s changed to days/weeks. We’re trying to get my daughter on a flight to America, but having passport issues (US passport expired and being processed) so unlikely to happen. I’d planned to go to America in about 2 weeks when we thought we’d have more time, but definitely won’t make it in time and I refuse to go home for a funeral—just a personal decision I made when I moved her, with one caveat being if my sister needs me. Her husband is a homicide sergeant with the Metro DC police so some danger.

Sorry to hijack the good news thread with bad news. The good news in this is with FaceTime and internet, we’re able to talk to her and see her when she’s awake.

Training resumes on Thursday 8th January. At this stage it will be at Gosch’s at 10am. But as always, this is subject to change. I’ll find out a couple of days beforehand and I’ll post on here.

The schedule thereafter will likely be Mondays and Fridays at Gosch’s and Wednesdays at Casey. This has yet to be confirmed, though.

I got a little drunk last night and don’t have to send any apologetic texts or calls this morning, ie. I didn’t make an arze of myself.

Thanks for all of your caring reactions. Sadly I have to spoil the good news. My brother only saw a few hours of the new year. He was just shy of 85.

I’m so sorry for your loss. My mother in law followed him a few days later. She was 88. But nothing really prepares you. Tried like hell to get to America but with the holidays couldn’t get my daughter’s passport sorted. I’ll be kicking myself in the [censored] for that one for a very long time.

Yes, it was a great final I was lucky enough to be there in person (plenty of Polska supporters around me and they were loud and proud - the Polish mixed doubles combo were far too strong.

Must admit I was hoping for a Stan Wawrinka win as I just love the way he hits those backhands and of course it's his final year on tour.

I'm a fair chance getting to Casey Friday and as part of the student exchange program there could also be a guest or two from Nevermore academy!😜😂
