Could we do:

McAdam, Thilthorp

For

Sparrow, 2nd round?

A former pick 2 200cm KPF only 21 years old would command more at the trade table. McAdam is worth a third rounder. Thilthorp is worth a first. Sparrow and a 2nd is unders.

I agree with you, although I don't rate McAdam at all.

But they have asked for Sparrow, so might a good starting point to see how much.

Only issue is we look like losing a lot of midfield depth so adding Sparrow to that coukd leave us thin

If we got him we would have two former number 2 pick key forwards at around 200cm. Thilthorp leads left, Schache leads right and Petty marks in front.

To be honest Petty is the single best Hope we have of solving our forward line problems.

I have no hesitation in saying he is/ will be a better player than McKsy Tilthorpe is still maturing and Lynch has been there done that.

All our questions from D/Lers re Perry's injury should cool their jets and wait till he comes back. My opinion Harry is a better chance 7 years younger than Lynch at 31 with a season long foot problem. The karma of Tom  playing a Maynard role has come back to bite.

No way should Harry be available for trade he is worth 2 of the Crows young forward flankers.

Petty is off limits.

And unfortunately I don't think he is our fwd line saviour.  As I think he needs to take May's position in the next couple of years.

Petty might have to do it for 12 months and then we have a crack at the plethora of key forwards coming out of contract next yr.

If only we had 2 fit Petty's

I love Petty Forward he is a natural, but somehow it seems to me that his body is not durable enough to play as a Key Forward for a whole campaign.

I would rather get a full season out of him as a CHB than a stop, start season as a Forward.

The option is there to swing him forward if the need arises.

supposedly to play key back with doedee leaving and murray off a knee, plus dragon himmelberg out the door, no idea how burgess goes as a back but fogarty walker and thilthorpe would still be ahead of him

It's Game Day on Friday night. ANZAC Eve. The big stage at the ‘G. The Demons return to the spotlight for one of our most significant nights on the football calendar, taking on the Tigers in a clash that always carries extra weight given the gravity of occasion of the commemoration of the ANZAC Spirit. Under the lights, in front of a packed house, this is where moments are made. Can the Dees rise to the occasion and deliver on the big stage, or will Richmond spoil the night? All the build-up, discussion, and in-game reactions here. Go Dees.

  • PREVIEW: Richmond

Who would have imagined, when the season kicked off early last month, that Melbourne would emerge from the opening six weeks with wins over both Queensland powerhouses? At the time, Gold Coast and Brisbane were the competition’s early pace-setters, the flavours of the month, and the prospect of the Demons toppling both within the course of a fortnight seemed remote. Yet here they are, banking those scalps alongside home victories over two traditional Victorian rivals and building a quietly impressive resume.

  • REPORT: Brisbane

Before Sunday, the last time the Brisbane Lions had walked onto the turf of the Melbourne Cricket Ground, they celebrated the pinnacle of the sport - an AFL premiership secured in emphatic fashion for the second consecutive year.

  • CASEY: Brisbane

From the outset, the Casey Demons lacked any spring in their steps. They were out-hustled and out-bustled and finally outplayed by the Brisbane Lions by 38 points on their home turf in perfect conditions at Casey Fields.
