Seston and Jefferson really impressed me that quarter.

Luke Dunstan has to be under serious consideration for next week surely??

I know we got belted at the contest last night but I struggle to think a team with Oliver, Petracca and Viney need another grunt player. I’d go either Brayshaw on ball and/or JJ wing/on ball and roll the wingers through the forward flanks more. Laurie hff an option too.

Dunstan remains almost purely Oliver and Viney insurance to me.

Jefferson might be years away from afl footy but boy he can run and jump at the ball. When he and JVR combine its exciting.

Dunstan gets a lot of it but his kicking is terrible as soon as any pressure is applied to him. Would rather someone else replace Harmes against Swans

Both Schache and JVR look confident and getting plenty of touches. Howes as well

Big Bell the ruckman looks like he's worth keeping an eye on

I agree. I haven’t seen anything from Dunstan at VFL or AFL since he’s been a Demon to suggest he is anymore than a good VFL player any more. I’d be getting games into Laurie, JJ, Taj (when fit), and maybe Howes, D. Smith and Moniz before recalling Dunstan.

Why the hell are we allowing a FB to run the ball 25 meters out of the square without bouncing?

What’s going on with Will Verral?

Just a guess but they might have the young talls on 15 game contracts and rotate them. They all have a heap of work to do on their bodies and don’t need to play 20+ games

Not sure if they got KFW linked with a lower level. Or if he needs it

Great attack on the footy by Buntine there

Where’s Shache?

Was about to ask that?  Copped a knee in the head late in Q3 so hopefully not concussed.

Jordan way too slow there with the shot on goal.  Interception by Sestan who walks it in for the sealer

So JVR doing enough in the ruck to take Gawn's spot? Or TMac's spot?

Maybe... T Mac but I expect not

JVR having a good last quarter... not doing his chances any harm

Gosh if that commentator barracks any harder for the Dogs he'll blow a woofer valve.

2 solid intercept marks at HB by JVR

Moniz the 2.0 wizz for his second

JVR has been in the ruck most the quarter I think. He may be the only option, not sure, or it could be his audition for next week.

So many shots from the Dogs have been from the boundary.

Casey's done well to force them out wide for a fair chunk of the game

Beautiful work from Gray for the Jordan assist

Bit of WWF there with Munro pile driving Sweet

19 possessions to Gregory.  Not bad for a debutante

And it’s all over at Casey Fields

  • PREVIEW: Carlton

Good evening, Demon fans and welcome back to the Demonland Podcast ... it’s time to discuss this week’s game against the Blues. Will the Demons celebrate Clayton Oliver’s 200th game with a victory? We have a number of callers waiting on line … Leopold Bloom: Carlton and Melbourne are both out of finals contention with six wins and eleven losses, and are undoubtedly the two most underwhelming and disappointing teams of 2025. Both had high expectations at the start of participating and advancing deep into the finals, but instead, they have consistently underperformed and disappointed themselves and their supporters throughout the year. However, I am inclined to give the Demons the benefit of the doubt, as they have made some progress in addressing their issues after a disastrous start. In contrast, the Blues are struggling across the board and do not appear to be making any notable improvements. They are regressing, and a significant loss is looming on Saturday night. Max Gawn in the ruck will be huge and the Demon midfield have a point to prove after lowering their colours in so many close calls.
