Should have been a walk in goal for JVR but delivery was not there

Yes that shouldve been an OTT handball from Moniz.  Might need to work on his left side handballing?

Or selling the candy, to make space.

Yes or that Kev... nice work 👌🏻

And nice work from Chandler for our 2nd out of the middle

chandler seems to be more of a midfielder who goes forward - a la petracca? - at casey than a small pressure forward who works defensively, which is his role at afl level

Good efforts & work from JVR there for a scrappy shot at goal...behind

Thought Baker did well for a fair chunk of the first quarter

Nice leap & mark a la Royce Hart from Moniz on the wing there.

Buntine, Dunstan & Chandler

First Ryan Valentine dribbles one through to level at 9 apiece and then Kade Chandler puts some life into the contest with a couple of goals. Suddenly, Casey leads by 14 points!

Typical whitten oval affair

Great goal from Chandler from the paint.  Baker very clean so far

Chandler kicks his third. He’s too good for VFL level, but hasn’t clicked at AFL level yet. He should be given opportunity for a few weeks like Bedford had. Maybe too late in the season now for him, but clearly something to work with there.

Great goal by Chandler... picking himself for next week if he keeps it up

3 second quarter goals - his first was a beautiful pick up and long goal.

  • REPORT: North Melbourne

I suppose that I should apologise for the title of this piece, but the temptation to go with it was far too great. The memory of how North Melbourne tore Melbourne apart at the seams earlier in the season and the way in which it set the scene for the club’s demise so early in the piece has been weighing heavily upon all of us. This game was a must-win from the club’s perspective, and the team’s response was overwhelming. The 36 point win over Alastair Clarkson’s Kangaroos at the MCG on Sunday was indeed — roovenge of the highest order!

  • CASEY: Werribee

The Casey Demons remain in contention for a VFL finals berth following a comprehensive 76-point victory over the Werribee Tigers at Whitten Oval last night. The caveat to the performance is that the once mighty Tigers have been raided of many key players and are now a shadow of the premiership-winning team from last season. The team suffered a blow before the game when veteran Tom McDonald was withdrawn for senior duty to cover for Steven May who is ill.  However, after conceding the first goal of the game, Casey was dominant from ten minutes in until the very end and despite some early errors and inaccuracy, they managed to warm to the task of dismantling the Tigers with precision, particularly after half time when the nominally home side provided them with minimal resistance.
