Of course he is. What else do you think he does all week?

He's not going to make it if that's the case

I voted for JVR, but he is not ready for a debut.

Didnt we re-sign Weideman this year as well? 🤦‍♀️

He'll be right finals time.

Both, demote BBB until he shows something.

The correct answer.

I have been a stalwart believer in the Weid for a long time, but I think the ship has sailed and he has been unable to take his chance(s). (very glad to be proven wrong).

We chucked in Bowey last year at a similar time - good result.

I would be giving JvR a run. I have seen a few Casey games and although he hasn't starred in many games, he is as AFL ready as Weid was for his first game.

And keep BBB. But the forwards have to work hard to allow him to lead, rather than be the man under the ball where his limitations are so pronounced.

One is a key position, one isn't.

  • PREVIEW: Essendon

Not long ago, the narrative surrounding Melbourne was steeped in pessimism. There was some concern among the pundits (and even some fans) that the club would arrive at the AFL’s Gather Round still winless, vulnerable to a familiar adversary in the Essendon Football Club, and facing significant scrutiny from an ever-critical media on a national stage. Things have changed.

  • REPORT: Gold Coast

Steven King astutely identified the issues that had plagued the Melbourne Football Club over the past two and a half seasons when he auditioned for the newly created coaching role. The side that had claimed the 2021 premiership had become stodgy, slow-paced, and hesitant to take the initiative.
