Kevin Sheehan reveals his top NAB AFL Draft Prospects: Tall forwards/rucks

There’s such a shortage of tall forwards and rucks that Shifter’s covering both categories in one article.

If you want a tall then next year’s the year for it. There’s a 199cm tall from SA called Harry Lemmy who will be all the rage next year as a key position forward prospect.

Perception is everything when we talk about footballers.

Here’s a comparison drawn by Twitter poster Joshua Kay

nic is a 3-time all oztrayan as well, plus likely has at least two years left in his body

But they both had significant impact on the outcome of games for their respective sides and one a hell of a lot cheaper than the other

i dunno, swans couldn't afford to keep sausage cos of his high wage

and when they poached him from kardinia park i can't imagine he was on chump change

both been very good ruckmen over the course of their careers

Swans couldn’t afford to keep Mumford because of Buddy’s wage

I have a close eye on....

Josh Rentsch
GWV Rebels, NAB League / Penshurst FC / Ballarat Grammar
State: Victoria (Country)
Height: 197cm
Weight: 100kg
Date of Birth: 14/09/03

Apparently was joint winner of the Morrish Medal. Could be also be available for our 2nd or 3rd pick perhaps?

Dave Grohl is a big fan of young Josh and has already nicknamed him "Monkey".

Was he nicknamed by "shifter" Sheehan?

Fron SEN on Blake Howes and Josh Rentsch

Blake Howes

“Wingman from the Sandringham Dragons. 190cm and pretty athletic,” Twomey said.

“He’s somewhere around the 30 mark for me.”

Josh Rentsch

“He’s a big key forward, a strapping lad from the Ballarat region,” Twomey said.

“He kicks it a mile and reminds me of a little bit of Tim Membrey. He just gets the ball, clunks it and kicks goals.

“He won the Morrish Medal (tied with Flynn Lakey).

“He’s probably a second half of the draft prospect.”

  • REPORT: Carlton

I am now certain that the decline in fortunes of the Melbourne Football Club from a premiership power with the potential for more success to come in the future, started when the team ran out for their Round 9 match up against Carlton last year. After knocking over the Cats in a fierce contest the week before, the Demons looked uninterested at the start of play and gave the Blues a six goal start. They recovered to almost snatch victory but lost narrowly with a score of 11.10.76 to 12.5.77. Yesterday, they revisited the scene and provided their fans with a similar display of ineptitude early in the proceedings. Their attitude at the start was poor, given that the game was so winnable. Unsurprisingly, the resulting score was almost identical to that of last year and for the fourth time in succession, the club has lost a game against Carlton despite having more scoring opportunities.

  • CASEY: Carlton

The Casey Demons smashed the Carlton Reserves off the park at Casey Fields on Sunday to retain a hold on an end of season wild card place. It was a comprehensive 108 point victory in which the home side was dominant and several of its players stood out but, in spite of the positivity of such a display, we need to place an asterisk over the outcome which saw a net 100 point advantage to the combined scores in the two contests between Demons and Blues over the weekend.

  • POSTGAME: Carlton

A near full strength Demons were outplayed all night against a Blues outfit that was under the pump and missing at least 9 or 10 of the best players. Time for some hard decisions to be made across the board.
