1. BT just after Daniel dumped Gawn over the boundary line with "Daniel and Goliath"

2. I don't know his name, but on the Indigenous radio call of Petracca's second goal which he described as "Daicossian"

But my favourite of the lot on the Seven coverage, and I can't remember who said it, or exactly when in the last quarter (probably around the time of ANB's goal), or even the exact words, but to the effect that the players can enjoy the rest of the game because they know they've got it won. Those words gave me permission to stop worrying, too.

I liked Gerard Whateley’s description of Sparrow’s long goal.

Right up there with Chris from Camberwell

I remember he tried to gatecrash joeboy’s three word analysis with a three minutes hate version.

He will not be missed.

Probably the wrong quote to use to continue  that conversation.

I was referring to Dr. D.

Uplifting references to Neale Daniher's saying, "When it's all said and done,  more is said than done!"

I don't get this quote.  'more is said than done'?  Doesn't that mean there has been more talk (said) than walk (done).  So we've talked the talk, more than walked the walk?  Which is not what you want to do.

Don't get it.  Can someone enlighten me on this?  What penny is not dropping for me?

I think you'll find that what he means is that people are prepared to talk about a hard challenge but aren't always prepared to do what is necessary to achieve a successful outcome when hard work is required.

Thanks LDVC.  But I still don't get it.  🤔

Surely it is meant to be, 'when all is said and done, more is done than said.'  See, this is not confusing.  Makes sense.

Anyway not important.

If more were done than said, the people who get things done wouldn't be so valuable.

The MFC got stuff done this year - on that we can all agree.

Petracca ... PETRACCA! ..... Christian Petracca no way.

I must be the only one who thought the call of "bang, bang, bang" was garbage. The entire broadcast failed to match the excitement of the game itself.

I thought they were a terrible combination.  BT is horrific.

A near full strength Demons were outplayed all night against a Blues outfit that was under the pump and missing at least 9 or 10 of the best players. Time for some hard decisions to be made across the board.

  • PREVIEW: Carlton

Good evening, Demon fans and welcome back to the Demonland Podcast ... it’s time to discuss this week’s game against the Blues. Will the Demons celebrate Clayton Oliver’s 200th game with a victory? We have a number of callers waiting on line … Leopold Bloom: Carlton and Melbourne are both out of finals contention with six wins and eleven losses, and are undoubtedly the two most underwhelming and disappointing teams of 2025. Both had high expectations at the start of participating and advancing deep into the finals, but instead, they have consistently underperformed and disappointed themselves and their supporters throughout the year. However, I am inclined to give the Demons the benefit of the doubt, as they have made some progress in addressing their issues after a disastrous start. In contrast, the Blues are struggling across the board and do not appear to be making any notable improvements. They are regressing, and a significant loss is looming on Saturday night. Max Gawn in the ruck will be huge and the Demon midfield have a point to prove after lowering their colours in so many close calls.
