I believe the game is being televised by Seven. Really looking forward to seeing a couple of the new boys. Should also tell us a bit about the "competition for spots".

I feel a little bit for some of the Casey regulars as a number of previously injured players are returning and the Mid Season draftees should also get a game. Even the emergencies from Saturday will get a run. I don't know the highest number of MFC listed players that have ever taken the field for Casey but this game would have to go close.

19 by my count and 20 if Bradtke plays and I would expect he does.

good question

It's listed as an Essendon home game. Perhaps the issue is security at Windy Hill.

When I was there in 2019 it was just walk in as it's a community park. A nice place to watch football but a very strange portable scoreboard. Preuss took them apart as I remember.

With the Saturday night game the emergencies will be available and I expect a few senior players will turn up to lend their support.

Hopefully Saturday is a big win

Actually, no it's not. For the sake of clarity; it's being played at CASEY.

Here's the original fixture stating quite clearly it's an Essendon home game.

The venue and time may not have been fixed but it has always been an Essendon home game

So what your saying is; I'm correct and you have old information which you didn't bother to verify.

Oops!  Forgot Turner was one of our newbies!

Can I get some clarity/certainty? Is the game at Windy Hill or Casey? Also is it definate that it will be televised? Finally, can spectators go?

Thanks PF

Bradtke out of favor played in  the back pocket against the Swans never spent a second in the ruck plus we have 19 Melbourne listed players to pick from hard to fit in the team. White is the captain and Hutchins and Munro pick themselves.

It's at Casey, if you're in doubt ring the club tomorrow.

No.

Casey.

I don't know about definate but to be explicitly precise; it is scheduled to be broadcast and definitely will be baring some new catastrophe.

Above my pay grade.

Right so it is at Casey. So the next question is can we go ?

  • Author

Well, selection at Casey just got even more interesting. I can see Jack Hutchins being pushed out but the question then becomes who plays down back. Mitch Brown? And regardless of W'dee's opinion I hope we continue to educate and develop Bradtke.

Mitch Brown well in mix to play senior forward. I would be flabbergasted if he played back

  • PREVIEW: Carlton

Good evening, Demon fans and welcome back to the Demonland Podcast ... it’s time to discuss this week’s game against the Blues. Will the Demons celebrate Clayton Oliver’s 200th game with a victory? We have a number of callers waiting on line … Leopold Bloom: Carlton and Melbourne are both out of finals contention with six wins and eleven losses, and are undoubtedly the two most underwhelming and disappointing teams of 2025. Both had high expectations at the start of participating and advancing deep into the finals, but instead, they have consistently underperformed and disappointed themselves and their supporters throughout the year. However, I am inclined to give the Demons the benefit of the doubt, as they have made some progress in addressing their issues after a disastrous start. In contrast, the Blues are struggling across the board and do not appear to be making any notable improvements. They are regressing, and a significant loss is looming on Saturday night. Max Gawn in the ruck will be huge and the Demon midfield have a point to prove after lowering their colours in so many close calls.

  • REPORT: North Melbourne

I suppose that I should apologise for the title of this piece, but the temptation to go with it was far too great. The memory of how North Melbourne tore Melbourne apart at the seams earlier in the season and the way in which it set the scene for the club’s demise so early in the piece has been weighing heavily upon all of us. This game was a must-win from the club’s perspective, and the team’s response was overwhelming. The 36 point win over Alastair Clarkson’s Kangaroos at the MCG on Sunday was indeed — roovenge of the highest order!

  • CASEY: Werribee

The Casey Demons remain in contention for a VFL finals berth following a comprehensive 76-point victory over the Werribee Tigers at Whitten Oval last night. The caveat to the performance is that the once mighty Tigers have been raided of many key players and are now a shadow of the premiership-winning team from last season. The team suffered a blow before the game when veteran Tom McDonald was withdrawn for senior duty to cover for Steven May who is ill.  However, after conceding the first goal of the game, Casey was dominant from ten minutes in until the very end and despite some early errors and inaccuracy, they managed to warm to the task of dismantling the Tigers with precision, particularly after half time when the nominally home side provided them with minimal resistance.
