McCartney used to say to the effect "when you're watching on TV and you see more Demons than on the screen than opposition you know we're going well and are going to win" - I think we've changed tack in the intervening period.

To be fair, Hooker is having a reasonable year for an old man and Stringer's still playing his one good game a month.

Thank you will do.

If you grab a coffee anywhere at the Entertainment Quarter they will stamp your parking ticket and it makes it a flat rate of something like $15. They'll even do it at the pub as you're walking by going to the game.

He was condescending towards Richmond for years. Not so much any more. He loves a whipping boy and until we have ultimate success we will be one of them.

He is campaigning hard on the throwing thing. Goes after the Dogs players for it as well, not just Claz. Perhaps I’m biased cause I didn’t see many if any throws in that vision.

I think the key to Dermie is not take him too seriously. But I understand getting riled up over the lack of respect. BT is a prime offender which would be tolerable if he wasn’t such a dumb oaf at the same time.

Brereton is an old fashioned bully boy and he used to play his football like someone out of the 1950's where you could get away with wacking someone in the back of the head or crunching them when they were vulnerable. He and a lot of the Hawks older players had/have no respect for the Melbourne footy club because we played football and weren't thugs. Plus when we were on top we used to destroy them on the field and their coach, Kennedy, changed their way of playing and swore we wouldn't do it anymore.t hey named them Kennedy'd commandos.

If you can get a look at a Victoria v South Australia game in 1986, where he tried to be the tough boy with the skipper of SA, Chris McDermott, who was as hard as nails, he copped a hiding, physically and football wise as well. He had this idiotic grin on his face that showed he was hurt but would never show it, go on hit me again.

Danny Hughes used to stick it up BT when he played against us and I don't think he's ever forgotten that. In one particular game Taylor actually threw a tantrum and went berserk, it was the funniest thing I've seen on a football field.

TMac is on about $800k a year I think so not sure that really holds true

Brisbane would have got him much cheaper with MFC paying a fair bit of the $800k for 2021. His current contract finishes this year.

Maybe 100-200. But at that price and in the context, Daniher was a better bet for them

Grinter involved with the wedgie?

BT went on the rampage that day

Actually, TMac is contracted to the end of 2022.

HARVEY WALLBANGER'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS Absent: Salem, Windsor (word is a foot rash going around), Viney, Bowey and Kentfield Train ons: Roy George, no Culley today. MATCH SIM: Friday 7th February 2025

Demonland Trackwatcher Gator ventured down the freeway to bring you his observations from Friday morning's Match Simulation out at Casey Fields. Rehab: Jake Lever and Charlie Spargo running laps.  Lever was running short distances at a fast click as well as having kick to kick with a trainer. He seems unimpeded. Christian Petracca, Kade Chandler, Shane McAdam and Tom Fullarton doing non-contact kicking and handball drills on the adjacent oval.  All moving freely at pace.  I didn’

Demonland Trackwatchers were out in force as the Demons returned to Gosch's Paddock for preseason training on Wednesday morning. GHOSTWRITER'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS Kozzie a no show. Tommy Sparrow was here last week in civvies and wearing sunnies. He didn’t train. Today he’s training but he’s wearing goggles so he’s likely got an eye injury. There’s a drill where Selwyn literally lies on top of Tracc, a trainer dribbles the ball towards them and Tracc has to g

THAT WAS THE YEAR THAT WAS: 2024

Whichever way you look at it, the Melbourne Football Club’s 2024 season can only be characterized as the year of its fall from grace. Whispering Jack looks back at the season from hell that was. After its 2021 benchmark premiership triumph, the men’s team still managed top four finishes in the next two seasons but straight sets finals losses consigned them to sixth place in both years. The big fall came in 2024 with a collapse into the bottom six and a 14th placing. At Casey, the 2022 VFL p
