Damn, have a feeling Brisbane will pip us

I think given how much it would kill him to be training right next to his old mob and that and he's always seemed to be one to shy away from the media makes me reckon Brisbane are probably his preference here.

Yeah also just thought of this, would undoubtedly be weird

I'll refer back to Mahoney's comment that if it were to be done, it would be done in the next week. I imagine he knew of Brisbane's interest when he was on air yesterday, and that Elliott would be looking at all options. Don't assume that we are zero chance.

We might have $600k more to spend each year for the next 3-4.

Only hope for us here is that it's just him and his manager doing their due diligence by checking out all offers. Only drawcard for us atm is that we offer more $$$ and that he desperately would like to stay in VIC.

His upcoming holiday might have been in Brisbane anyway. Could’ve  just popped in before hitting the surf.

He'll come to us.

Don’t give up, he doesn’t trust Queensland water, the bottle of water he is carrying is from Victoria.

What colour are his flip flops?

We were gonna take him on a tour of our facilities then we remembered we don’t have any.

What is wrong with Goschs paddock?

Surely he would love the majestic view of punt road traffic, while training in front of 3 people and Saty.

The training induction. Bring a bottle to drink water and bring an empty to wee in.

Doesn’t need an empty bottle with us, he can simply wee on a beautiful Goschs tree, right next to where he is training and no one will see him because no one will be there.

Plus the surface of Goschs Paddock is great for the hammies. Not so great for the feet though. ?

  • CASEY: Richmond

The winds finally returned to Casey Fields for the Demons’ third home game of the VFL season, and its impact was immediate. After two opening rounds played in uncharacteristically fine conditions, the Anzac Day clash brought back the familiar gusty conditions that have been a feature of the region at this time of the year.
Forced to kick into the breeze first, the slow-starting Demons faced a tricky opening against an enthusiastic young Tigers outfit. Casey responded by turning the contest into a scramble, pressuring Richmond into errors and missed targets. The tactic proved crucial, keeping the game tight for three and a half quarters before the Demons pulled away with the autumn wind at their backs.

  • REPORT: Richmond

It seemed as if the whole purpose of the Anzac Eve clash at the MCG between the Demons and the Tigers was building toward that single, unforgettable moment when Kozzie Pickett soared above Campbell Gray and all but fittingly etched his name onto the face of the 2026 Frank ‘Checker’ Hughes Medal.
