Solid work, Fence.  I would mark Hogan lower than that (4), Salem only a 5 (tackles and silly things work against), but would not be too far off with the rest.

Re Oscar..... I could see the steely resolve in his Eyes..... If I don't play a blinder Fencesore will condemn me to Purgatory!

Well played young man!

Ah JKH better but..... Sheeit we did have a win!

Hogan was terrible there is something terribly wrong with him. Wouldn't be surprised to see Weed get a game ahead of him due to his battered body. The only time he was good was in that last play when Neal-Bullen kicked that goal to seal it.

Oscar was very good tonight, as was Frost and the rest of the defenders.  Walker, Lynch, McGovern and Jenkins combined for 1 goal.  That wouldn't happen to often.  In fact it may never have happened before.

JKH was solid too.

The stats don’t lie. That is a very good effort from a backline copping it right now.

You must write this stuff when you're pizzed fence - it's the only time you make any sense!

Once again I find myself almost agreeing with you ( I must be pizzed)

I would have marked Hogan and Smith a bit harder.

The only question I have is this:

What in the world is a 'Powerrangers EGO Stance'??  Do I even really want to know what it is?  Yes, I get it's a reference to the Crows, but I don't get the reference.

Its the strut/stance... immature and highly pre pubescent.. you know the stance you have when really you don't stand for much, but think you do!

I just thought Uncle

Jesse carry a myriad of injuries, NQR and yet still presented and tried hard

Smith , starting to grow on me made a couple of errors but also did some very good things and may develop into something.

I thought it was about their pregame lineup, when they manspread, balls out and try to look tough. Then someone butchers the national anthem.  Hey, no lineup for them this year!

  • PREVIEW: Port Adelaide

With both sides precariously positioned ahead of the run home to the finals, only one team involved in Sunday’s clash at the Adelaide Oval between the Power and the Demons will remain a contender when it’s over.  On current form, that one team has to be Melbourne which narrowly missed out on defeating the competition’s power house Collingwood on King's Birthday and also recently overpowered both 2024 Grand Finalists. Conversely, Port Adelaide snapped out of a four-game losing streak with a win against the Giants in Canberra. Although they will be rejuvenated following that victory, their performances during that run of losses were sub par and resulted in some embarrassing blow out defeats.

  • REPORT: Collingwood

The media focus on the fiery interaction between Max Gawn and Steven May at the end of the game was unfortunate because it took away the gloss from Melbourne’s performance in winning almost everywhere but on the scoreboard in its Kings Birthday clash with Collingwood at the MCG. It was a real battle reminiscent of the good old days when the rivalry between the two clubs was at its height and a fitting contest to celebrate the 2025 Australian of the Year, Neale Daniher and his superb work to bring the campaign to raise funds for motor neurone disease awareness to the forefront. Notwithstanding the fact that the Magpies snatched a one point victory from his old club, Daniher would be proud of the fact that his Demons fought tooth and nail to win the keenly contested game in front of 77,761 fans.

  • PREGAME: Port Adelaide

The Demons are set to embark on a four-week road trip that takes them across the country, with two games in Adelaide and a clash on the Gold Coast, broken up by a mid-season bye. Next up is a meeting with the inconsistent Port Adelaide at Adelaide Oval. Who comes in and who goes out?

  • POSTGAME: Collingwood

Despite effectively playing against four extra opponents, the Dees controlled much of the match. However, their inaccuracy in front of goal and inability to convert dominance in clearances and inside 50s ultimately cost them dearly, falling to a heartbreaking one-point loss on King’s Birthday.
