Wrong on Trac, Hib andĀ  Viney IMO. McClure (ABC radio) big rapts on Hib. I agreed.

Winning is good

Lever - will be missed

Didn't see myself saying this after rounds 1-4, but here we are pondering the rest of 2018 without Jake the Snake. There is now a big hole back there, and Tmac is worth more forward.Ā

Ā

Slightly harsh on Trac, who I thought played his best game since he hurt his finger.Ā  He had over 20 touches and kicked a goal as well which is a positive return to form.

Agree with the rest.

Salem is outstanding at picking when to expose himself to the possibility of his direct opponent getting a cheap one over the back by getting to a contest to provide help. Has excellent timing and contests well.

Jetta played as well as I've seen from him today.

I thought Gawn got clear hands to a ton of balls but we don't quite maximise that with enough clean clearances. Not sure how the stats bear out but that's how it felt today. If we could maximise this area we may become consistently very hard to beat.

In the spirit of trying to rationalize levers loss i have gone over joeboys above list which i thinl is a great summary of all snd counted 15 names i would be equally devastated to lose. Once upon a time that numbet might have been 5 ish.

If goodwin can fill tjis loss adequately recognising levers value may not be replicated i think the fundamentals are still sound.Ā

Q B will tell us.

  • POSTGAME: Sydney

The Demons controlled the contest from the outset, though inaccurate kicking kept the Swans in the game until half time. But after the break, Melbourne put on the jets and blew Sydney away and the demolition job was complete.

  • CASEY: Northern Bullants

The Casey Demons travelled to a windy Cramer Street, Preston yesterday and blew the Northern Bullants off the ground for three quarters before shutting up shop in the final term, coasting to a much-needed 71-point victory after leading by almost 15 goals at one stage. It was a pleasing performance that revived the Demons’ prospects for the 2025 season but, at the same time, very little can be taken from the game because of the weak opposition. These days, the Bullants are little more than road kill. The once proud club, situated behind the Preston Market in a now culturally diverse area, is currently facing significant financial and on-field challenges, having failed to secure a win to date in 2025.

  • GAMEDAY: Sydney

It’s Game Day, and the Demons have a golden opportunity to build on last week’s stirring win by toppling Sydney at the MCG. A victory today would keep them firmly in the hunt for a finals spot and help them stay in touch with the pack chasing a place in the Top 8. Can the Dees make it two in a row and bring down the Swans?
