12 legs!

Did you win enough to purchase the MFC Gorg?

We need someone of good standing to get in there and clean the joint out.  Drain the swamp or whatever!

Not sure I fit the category as “good standing” ha ha

I had a couple of SGM's on for the Port vs North game too and both fell over by one leg!

Higgins +20 touches, ended on 19 and Duursma +15 touches, ended on 14.

I swear my SGM's are cursed, I'm the master of falling over by one leg!!

Yeah I needed Houston and Amon to have a good second Half, Houston got his 15th late in the last and 4 that I had for 15 ended on 15 or 16.
I missed one earlier this year, 13 legs, last leg was Hill for 15, 12 at 3/4 time vs the crows and got 0 in the last. Killed me.

Sheesh

Sunshine Coast Race 2 Number 1 ( in 30 mins) Maybach was previously trained by Waterhouse and best mate had a share in it up in Sydney. Sold it up North and haven’t been following it since it went up there, just noticed it was running. Not sure anyone would want to take the short odds though. It’s one tough horse and can stay all day.

Looked like it couldn’t get a clear run behind them JV.

Italian GP qualifying is also on right now if that's your scene.

I've got a few quid on Aussie Dan to make it through to Q3.

I will have a look at Monza tonight Rollin, i see Dan is 7th on the grid. He was storming home last week eating up about 12 seconds in 3 laps, but the commentators seemed to miss it? Not sure why he didnt do that earlier, my only guess is tyre wear......

Nice little get there in race 2! Was cursing it at the 200m, got home nicely

I was on Miss Guggenheim as well JV.  Well done again for the tip ...  Damien Oliver is the one.  Boots 'em home

Nice way to start the day!

(I might add that I picked up 3 decent collects at Haydock last night so I'm on a roll this weekend)

Haven't got any standouts at Sha Tin today other than to recommend that it's best to look for a bit of value.

First race meeting back after 2 months so the formline is scratchy.  Maybe a medium wide quaddie but don't forget to include the Purton & Moreira mounts.

Thanks mate! Was on it, and it’s multied into the next two races!

Your multis are amazing Gorgo....do you give classes? :)

I like to take a few horses into a few Afl/Nrl games over a couple of days usually, so theyre slow burners but do ok sometimes. I find about 6 legs is the max for me. Had some good returns, but not consistent enough.

Ha ha, they are very hot or miss, mainly miss. NFL time I usually look at one multi of 8-10 games and then one of all games. Much harder.

Ollie couldn't get Cetshwayo out in the 4th race at Geelong ... ended up starting favourite too so was a moral beaten.

But you win some you lose some.  We race tight in Oz so the gaps often just don't appear

That's racing.

Friends horse is running tomorrow in Geelong, race 5 Gigantic Effort, paying $10, no idea how it will go, was held up last race and pipped at the post, think this is a stronger race tho.

Had every chance this time Gorg.  As you said,  a stronger field.

Such a good jockey is Oliver ... didn't ride a winner yesterday but making up for it today.

3 winners already today after getting Carrie over the line in the 6th race.  Got it in a couple of multi's.

Oh so its not just me then....thats good.. :)

Feel free to post up any good multis. I love them.

We started another thread called Monkey Business a while back, to chat about punting on all other sports apart from racing. But its just as easy to post stuff here i guess?

No. 17 - I'll be gone ruined things for me.

Not a bad meeting down the highway today.

There's always one!  I've gone away from the exotics a bit for that reason RF.

Same principle applies to the bigger multi's.  2 legs does me these days with the occasional 3 or 4 leg multi.

Big odds at 200-1 was I'll Be Gone ... just got pipped too.  You often wonder how a horse can be that much of a long shot.  It's form wasn't all that bad (all things considered)

No no no Wadda! ?

This is a thread for the thoroughbreds

The last thing we need are people complaining about missing out on their sporting multi's by one leg.

Now and again is ok as there is always some natural crossover but we don't want to turn the thread into a pure gambling thread.

The Monkey Business thread exists for a reason.

I should have passed on my Sha Tin tips ... 2 winners and a double already.

But you know what,  I pass them on and they then lose.  That's how it works.

Think I'll stick to the one Saturday tip and maybe one other on another day.

Boy was that some ride by Moreira in race 9!

Maybe obvious here but the wraps on the thing that won the last at GEELONG today are huge.

It was texted to anyone that ever punted  before the Maiden win at Sale and got smashed into evens.

Won today at 1.45-1 like a Champion in the making.

You should never say anything could be the next Winx but I think it could be the next Winx.

BAROCHA.

BAROCHA.

Did it with ease.

Apparently it was meant to be called Barocca but someone misspelt the name on application.

But Barocca never worked anyway ... another great con job of the 20th century.  Hair of the dog or a greasy hamburger did the trick.

Will watch Barocha with interest though.  Big call Biff but you never know.

  • PREVIEW: Sydney

The two teams competing at the MCG on Sunday afternoon have each traversed a long and arduous path since their previous encounter on a sweltering March evening in Sydney a season and a half ago. Both experienced periods of success at various times last year. The Demons ran out of steam in midseason while the Swans went on to narrowly miss the ultimate prize in the sport. Now, they find themselves outside of finals contention as the season approaches the halfway mark. The winner this week will remain in contact with the leading pack, while the loser may well find itself on a precipice, staring into the abyss. The current season has presented numerous challenges for most clubs, particularly those positioned in the middle tier. The Essendon experience in suffering a significant 91-point loss to the Bulldogs, just one week after defeating the Swans, may not be typical, but it illustrates the unpredictability of outcomes under the league’s present set up.

  • REPORT: Brisbane

“Max Gawn has been the heart and soul of the Dees for years now, but this recent recovery from a terrible start has been driven by him. He was everywhere again, and with the game in the balance, he took several key marks to keep the ball in the Dees forward half.” - The Monday Knee Jerk Reaction: Round Ten Of course, it wasn’t the efforts of one man that caused this monumental upset, but rather the work of the coach and his assistants and the other 22 players who took the ground, notably the likes of Jake Melksham, Christian Petracca, Clayton Oliver and Kozzie Pickett but Max has been magnificent in taking ownership of his team and its welfare under the fire of a calamitous 0-5 start to the season. On Sunday, he provided the leadership that was needed to face up to the reigning premier and top of the ladder Brisbane Lions on their home turf and to prevail after a slow start, during which the hosts led by as much as 24 points in the second quarter. Titus O’Reily is normally comedic in his descriptions of the football but this time, he was being deadly serious. The Demons have come from a long way back and, although they still sit in the bottom third of the AFL pack, there’s a light at the end of the tunnel as they look to drive home the momentum inspired in the past four or five weeks by Max the Magnificent who was under such great pressure in those dark, early days of the season.

  • CASEY: Southport

The Southport Sharks came to Casey. They saw and they conquered a team with 16 AFL-listed players who, for the most part, wasted their time on the ground and failed to earn their keep. For the first half, the Sharks were kept in the game by the Demons’ poor use of the football, it’s disposal getting worse the closer the team got to its own goal and moreover, it got worse as the game progressed. Make no mistake, Casey was far and away the better team in the first half, it was winning the ruck duels through Tom Campbell’s solid performance but it was the scoreboard that told the story.

  • PREGAME: Sydney

Just a game and percentage outside the Top 8, the Demons return to Melbourne to face the Sydney Swans at the MCG, with a golden opportunity to build on the momentum from toppling the reigning premiers on their own turf. Who comes in, and who makes way?
