Our centre clearance work today is horrible. Gawn having not much impact and whenever he does get first hands, the Blues shark it.

Ugly early. getting crapped on in the middle. c'mon demons, we must win this

Big let off... need to switch on

You know we are in trouble when a squib like Gibbs is carving us up

This isn't 2010 any more. Gibbs is a star.

Rediculous wake up for [censored] sake, could see this happening all week not much has changed above the shoulders

does anyone have a stream for a laptop, im desperate

Any team that can't beat St Kilda, Essendon or Carlton even once in a season has no rights to be anywhere near a finals series.

Carlton 25

Melb    7

Hopes for a percentage booster going down the toilet.

This is the St Kilda game all over again. Carlton's outside silk is so much better than ours, and since our inside mids are all asleep today we have absolutely nothing going for us.

Not for Carlton unfortunately.

Well it looks like we'll get that 10 goal margin we were all hoping for.

Do we need to wait until qtr time for a spray from the coach or are our so called leaders going to stand up.

Tide shifting just a little now. We absolutely want the next one here though. It'll be a difference between a 26 point margin and basically just two goals.

  • REPORT: North Melbourne

I suppose that I should apologise for the title of this piece, but the temptation to go with it was far too great. The memory of how North Melbourne tore Melbourne apart at the seams earlier in the season and the way in which it set the scene for the club’s demise so early in the piece has been weighing heavily upon all of us. This game was a must-win from the club’s perspective, and the team’s response was overwhelming. The 36 point win over Alastair Clarkson’s Kangaroos at the MCG on Sunday was indeed — roovenge of the highest order!

  • CASEY: Werribee

The Casey Demons remain in contention for a VFL finals berth following a comprehensive 76-point victory over the Werribee Tigers at Whitten Oval last night. The caveat to the performance is that the once mighty Tigers have been raided of many key players and are now a shadow of the premiership-winning team from last season. The team suffered a blow before the game when veteran Tom McDonald was withdrawn for senior duty to cover for Steven May who is ill.  However, after conceding the first goal of the game, Casey was dominant from ten minutes in until the very end and despite some early errors and inaccuracy, they managed to warm to the task of dismantling the Tigers with precision, particularly after half time when the nominally home side provided them with minimal resistance.

  • POSTGAME: North Melbourne

The Demons are finally back at the MCG and finally back on the winners list as they continually chipped away at a spirited Kangaroos side eventually breaking their backs and opening the floodgates to run out winners by 6 goals.
