Darcy Parish

Plus I don't think it's a lock that we take Parish. I think there is a little bit of water to go under the bridge yet, and we may see someone like Oliver, who is much more likely to be available at #7, as someone who can contribute in the same way Parish can. That means we may take someone like Curnow at #3 instead with the view to possibly pairing him with Hogan in a few years time.

Show me where I've put anyone's opinion down.

I don't rate him much at all.

I won't lose a nanoseconds sleep over Emma's ratings.

As I said, just comes across like you rate your opinion far higher than people who you've admitted know more than you.

Take it on board, don't take it on board... Up to you.

Comes across that PD rates other peoples opinions higher than Emma Quayle or Knightmares to me.

I rate Quigley, Chris, Snoop Dog, and others ahead of the prolific Knightmare. But I hasten to add that it doesn't mean I wish Knightmare any harm in this life or the next. It just means I have an opinion of his opinion.

And not losing "a nanoseconds sleep" over Emma's ratings doesn't mean I don't read her, respect her, or consider her opinions invalid, it means I have more faith in our full-time recruiting staff to get things right.

Fair enough then. It's funny, this year has been the first in ages here I haven't followed potential draftees and mock drafts etc really closely due to my renewed faith in the recruiting staff.

Who would your top 10 be PD?

I'm not qualified to have an informed opinion.

But you can have an opinion on someone else's opinion

You're a dill, Stu.

I've already explained that I wasn't knocking Emma. The only poster on BF who I believe is overrated is Knightmare and it's easy to form such a conclusion when I've had access to his posts for years. Just as I've had access to the others who I rate.

Why do you need to be spoon fed the bleeding obvious, Stu ?

What, you're editing people's posts when you quote them now? That's a whole new level.

Ah well, two can play at that I guess...

No skullduggery, Stu.

I accidently started posting in the post I was quoting (your post) and then deleted too far (back over your comments) and had to try to remember what your quote was. I didn't bother scrolling up.

Not that it mattered or changed the context much.

Ignore for you, Stu. Both of our lives will be happier. Well, maybe not yours.

Actually, Emma used to be pretty good before she got into the media, and that is no knock on her for moving up in the world - just means she has changed her methodology. She appears to have moved away from assessing players based on her own point of view, towards assessing players based more on the view of recruiters, which is ok, it gives us fans an inkling into who certain clubs might take. Obviously Knightmare has a more hands on approach to his work, he gets out there a lot. I don't think he would claim to be any better than anyone else, but from a fans perspective - he is relevant, and probably the best armchair scout going around.

He's prolific, but in my view not the best.

Quigley is brilliant and there are others like Scoopdog, who I rate.

    GOLDIE'S METTLE by Meggs

On a perfect night for football at the home of the Redlegs, Norwood Oval, it was the visiting underdogs Melbourne who led all night and hung on to prevail in a 2-point nail-biter. In the previous round St Kilda had made it a tough physical game to help restrict Adelaide from scoring and so Mick Stinear set a similar strategy for his team. To win it would require every player to do their bit on the field plus a little bit of luck.  Fifty game milestoner Sinead Goldrick epitomised

    REDLEG PRIDE by Meggs

Hump day mid-week footy at the Redlegs home ground is a great opportunity to build on our recent improved competitiveness playing in the red and blue.   The jumper has a few other colours this week with the rainbow Pride flag flying this round to celebrate people from all walks of life coming together, being accepted. AFLW has been a benchmark when it comes to inclusivity and a safe workplace.  The team will run out in a specially designed guernsey for this game and also the following week

    REDEEMING by Meggs

It was such a balmy spring evening for this mid-week BNCA Pink Lady match at our favourite venue Ikon Park between two teams that had not won a game since round one.   After last week’s insipid bombing, the DeeArmy banner correctly deemanded that our players ‘go in hard, go in strong, go in fighting’, and girl they sure did!   The first quarter goals by Alyssa Bannan and Alyssia Pisano were simply stunning, and it was 4 goals to nil by half-time.   Kudos to Mick Stinear.

    REDEEM by Meggs

How will Mick Stinear and his dwindling list of fit and available Demons respond to last week’s 65-point capitulation to the Bombers, the team’s biggest loss in history?   As a minimum he will expect genuine effort from all of his players when Melbourne takes on the GWS Giants at Ikon Park this Thursday.  Happily, the ground remains a favourite Melbourne venue of players and spectators alike and will provide an opportunity for the Demons to redeem themselves. Injuries to star play
