Chelly 859 Posted October 24, 2015 Posted October 24, 2015 For our later draft picks? State league gems: Who are the rough diamonds in the AFL mix?
rpfc 29,030 Posted October 25, 2015 Posted October 25, 2015 Prefer to get tall players from state leagues that can show what they have got staright away than spending 5 years and a high draft pick.

Rucks sure. Maybe the occasion key defender, especially if it's only for a back up. But J Pod is the only decent key foward I can remember coming from the state leagues. I think we will consider a state league ruck with one of our late picks just to add some depth
M C 221 Posted October 25, 2015 Posted October 25, 2015 I'm interested in Sam Menegola Seems to have worked on his offensive game immensely

Ron Burgundy 8,588 Posted October 25, 2015 Posted October 25, 2015 Know of any players in the NEAFL who managed to pick up 50 plus possies week in, week out in 2015?
rpfc 29,030 Posted October 25, 2015 Posted October 25, 2015 Know of any players in the NEAFL who managed to pick up 50 plus possies week in, week out in 2015? Vanders did that once. Against the worst team in the comp. I know you are having a laugh but the next bloke to come out of the NEAFL really doesn't need a 50+ possie measuring stick...
Ron Burgundy 8,588 Posted October 25, 2015 Posted October 25, 2015 Yep - question was essentially 'where's the next Vandenberg?' That said, Tom Mitchell racked up 50 plus one week in the NEAFL too, did he not? Might be hard to land him with a rookie pick though - but Josh Mahoney seems to be an adept trade negotiator these days.
bluey 1,124 Posted October 26, 2015 Posted October 26, 2015 Tommy DoeDee, could be anything, plenty of upside, should be a late pick.

Even for NEAFL, that is super impressive.
