Thread needs more riddles.

Roses are red,

Violets are blue,

Who are we getting,

I haven't a clue.

While it's not left-field in name, I'm still confident the big fish target is Prestia.

Apparently, Prestia is Italian for " Massive Play from Left Field."

What is big and red and blue and eats rocks?

What is big and red and blue and eats rocks?

What pick will he cost us?

Looks likely he is coming to us then.... I don't mind this at the right price.

Given that the Scum were after our pick 2 for Myers :pj: i doubt what they deem as 'reasonable' will be anywhere close to being sane.

Would reluctantly part with our 2nd rounder, but only would do so given that the draft is nowhere near as good as previous years.

p.s. just remembered that he is part of the drug squad, so i retract my 2nd round pick. 3rd rounder at most.

You are showing your age, BB ... (BTW the answer is Jack Viney )

The one next to the shovel ...

That is as funny as the joke about the Irishman digging half a hole.

Dion prestia and josh kennedy, I'd take that

Damo also goes on to say that bennell will probably win a brownlow at his next club. It's going to be pretty hard with josh kelly dominating the award for the next decade

Name one he's landed loudmouth?

'How to win friends and influence people'

Lol get a load of this bloke.

Cmon loudmouth name one star he's landed hero

'How to win friends and influence people'

It was a fair post responded with arrogance name won star mid u 26 if Roos doesn't get one in this trade period he's failed in that regard in my opinion, that's why people post isn't it to express opinions just because a guy has 6000 post doesn't mean he knows more than the next, the guys comeback was rude so expect the same back

a whole page of trade updates and not one mention of Melbourne Demons

The trouble with your posts is that they lose all credibility when you include terms such as ' you're a spud, loudmouth, hero'. I'm not saying you are but it makes you come across as a bit of a [censored].

That good, eh? Do tell!

Have you got a left handed hammer I could borrow.

I have no doubt our recruiting squad is out there doing their thing. Given where we are I suspect they have been working on their list for sometime knowing they would have a number of open spots. We have a limited number of draft picks so no point trying to do a Collingwood or Richmond that are into everyman and his dog. Target who or what we want and deal with them quietly.

There was a time during the current Melbourne cycle that goes back to before the premiership when the club was the toughest to beat in the fourth quarter. The Demons were not only hard to beat at any time but it was virtually impossible to get the better them when scores were close at three quarter time. It was only three or four years ago but they were fit, strong and resilient in body and mind. Sadly, those days are over. This has been the case since the club fell off its pedestal about 12 months ago after it beat Geelong and then lost to Carlton. In both instances, Melbourne put together strong, stirring final quarters, one that resulted in victory, the other, in defeat. Since then, the drop off has been dramatic to the point where it can neither pull off victory in close matches, nor can it even go down in defeat  gallantly.

  • CASEY: Footscray

At twenty-four minutes into the third term of the game between the Casey Demons and Footscray VFL at Whitten Oval, the visitors were coasting. They were winning all over the ground, had the ascendancy in the ruck battles and held a 26 point lead on a day perfect for football. What could go wrong? Everything. The Bulldogs moved into overdrive in the last five minutes of the term and booted three straight goals to reduce the margin to a highly retrievable eight points at the last break. Bouyed by that effort, their confidence was on a high level during the interval and they ran all over the despondent Demons and kicked another five goals to lead by a comfortable margin of four goals deep into the final term before Paddy Cross kicked a couple of too late goals for a despondent Casey. A testament to their lack of pressure in the latter stages of the game was the fact that Footscray’s last ten scoring shots were nine goals and one rushed behind. Things might have been different for the Demons who went into the game after last week’s bye with 12 AFL listed players. Blake Howes was held over for the AFL game but two others, Jack Billings and Taj Woewodin (not officially listed as injured) were also missing and they could have been handy at the end. Another mystery of the current VFL system.

  • PREGAME: Brisbane

The Demons head back out on the road in Round 10 when they travel to Queensland to take on the reigning Premiers and the top of the table Lions who look very formidable. Can the Dees cause a massive upset? Who comes in and who goes out?

Wayward kicking for goal, dump kicks inside 50 and some baffling umpiring all contributed to the Dees not getting out to an an early lead that may have impacted the result. At the end of the day the Demons were just not good enough and let the Hawks run away with their first win against the Demons in 7 years.
