Nah but I've got an AppleTV so was able to stream from iPad to that. When the cameras still and zoomed in it's ok but panning down the ground was horrific couldn't even see the ball.

I'm currently intending to cancel foxtel and buy a digital membership through the club (annoying that it's only mobile/ tablet =/).

Currently the plan is to stream the game to my phone (iPhone 6+) and connect the phone to the tv via a lightning to hdmi adapter, then a traditional hdmi cord. I've tried this set up with youtube and personal videos and the clarity is normally pretty good...

I've got Bigpond Cable Ultimate and stream NFL in the same manner with no issue (wifi to iPad then airplay to ATV.)

The issue isn't connection the issue is resolution - the resolution the AFL Live app produces is finally for phones /tablets but blow it up to watch on a TV and it's an extremely poor quality (for me anyway who is used to HD). They do this on purpose so that people don't do exactly what you want to do, that is ditch Foxtel for an AFL live subscription as it will cost them money at the next rights negotiations.

Having said that you should wait til the NAB Challenge and see if they offer a free trial as they did last year - then you can test it yourself to decide whether to switch. Alternatively you could probably suspend your Foxtel for a month and sign up for a month subscription to test. It may work better for you or the quality downgrade may not be as big of anew issue for you.

I just took the package as an add on to my normal membership, which I renewed in October. I will let everyone knows how well it works when i get to Bangkok in May.
