Paul Roos on Footy Classified

If there is no drama, Caro will create some, it's her job

I find myself constantly thinking she has pushed the relevant point at the time too far

No they're not.

She digs hard because we've been a basket case.

My view is that whilst she occasionally hits the target , many will if firing enough arrows :unsure:

She seems somewhat 'selective" in not only her targets but the voracity with which she writes

You only need to line up articles on Melbourne and Richmond to understand her hypocrisy

i hated Caro during the tanking saga

I love her for the last 12 months though, shes one of the few journos who are telling it how it is re: Hird and Essendon

Patrick Smith is another who has been great

I thought drama the preserve of Playwrights.....and Facts/The discoursing of information the relative field of endeavour for Journalists !!

You may be right bb, I have always just viewed Caro as someone who really bobs up when the drama does

I hadn't taken much notice of her until seeing her on footy classified where her only questions centred around trying to draw controversy out of Roosy missing an informal dinner because of other commitments. She was trying to draw scandal out of nothing at all and it just came across as bitter.

Why don't you just critique what was said and mock her intent?

Roos is a polished media performer, he gave her nothing.

So are you going to research the correct definition of misogynistic and revise your earlier comments?

I'd recommend it, otherwise you'll just continue to look like a dill.

And you still continue to be a mysogynist.

Further, anything you recommend would be the last thing I would do.

Fool.

She digs hard cos she doesn't care about the game, just the scandal.

She is a bitter person.

First Lady of football my ar$e.

if it is all the same to you mate I would prefer not to look at either!

Fool.

so JR you are all ok with her PERSONAL ATTACK on both CC & CS last year?

Without a word from either of them.

Now they both made business mistakes but Caro took it a lot further than just business.

I'm not sure what you're referring to, WYL. Can't remember those reports.

Her stories are okay and she's just a journo.

What I'm against is the commentary around posters maligning the way she speaks, and her gender - they're not funny.

Not sure about the gender agenda ( sorry I plagiarized that term) because I reckon Caro has one [censored]. In the same way, I reckon Robbo has no testicles. Can't account for the missing [censored] though.

Maybe Caro got them? she doesn't seem to be afraid of any big hitters around the league

She is not just a journo. She is the chief writer for the Age.

She goes too hard imo. That said. We fcuked up. But she made it personal.

Like I said, I'm not familiar with the articles.

Roos was too good for her on FC.

What do you make of the chief "writer" for "The Hun" WYL? No gender issues there - simply incompetence.

Wow! You're hilarious!

Must be fun being that grumpy. I know one of my favourite things is sitting down and being angry in front of the internet. Makes bananas taste so much sweeter after a good bout of nonsensical vitriol unleashed on a footy forum.

he is actually worse by far. Drunken incompetence bbo at best.

Caro at least can write.

Thanks man, but don't worry about me. Life's only that hard for your good self.

She has a very annoying voice, yes. But I'm still waiting for the evidence on these 'gender attacks', jumbo.

If you don't get it, you'll never get it - I can't help you.

jumbo returns: makes idiotic comments and assertions, then tries to hide his stupidity under the pretence of being on higher moral ground.

Do you even understand the meaning of the words you're using?

  • REPORT: Richmond

The fans who turned up to the MCG for Melbourne’s Anzac Day Eve clash against Richmond would have been disappointed if they turned up to see a great spectacle. As much as this was a night for the 71,635 in attendance to commemorate heroes of the nation’s past wars, it was also a time for the Melbourne Football Club to consolidate upon its first win after a horrific start to the 2025 season. On this basis, despite the fact that it was an uninspiring and dour struggle for most of its 100 minutes, the night will be one for the fans to remember. They certainly got value out of the pre match activity honouring those who fought for their country. The MCG and the lights of the city as backdrop was made for nights such as these and, in my view, we received a more inspirational ceremony of Anzac culture than others both here and elsewhere around the country.

  • CASEY: Richmond

The match up of teams competing in our great Aussie game at its second highest level is a rarity for a work day Thursday morning but the blustery conditions that met the players at a windswept Casey Fields was something far more commonplace. They turned the opening stanza between the Casey Demons and a somewhat depleted Richmond VFL into a mess of fumbling unforced errors, spilt marks and wasted opportunities for both sides but they did set up a significant win for the home team which is exactly what transpired on this Anzac Day round opener. Casey opened up strong against the breeze with the first goal to Aidan Johnson, the Tigers quickly responded and the game degenerated into a defensive slog and the teams were level when the first siren sounded.

  • POSTGAME: Richmond

After five consecutive defeats, the Demons have now notched up back-to-back victories, comfortably accounting for the Tigers in the traditional ANZAC Eve clash. They surged to a commanding 44-point lead early in the final quarter before easing off the pedal, resting skipper Max Gawn and conceding the last four goals of the game to close out a solid 20-point win.
