Bendigo v Casey Scorpions

I noticed the same thing. Still criticism, but all constructive and much more encouraging. I have no problem with reviews like this.

I can't believe others can''t see the vfl reviews are written after they've decided if they'll make any changes. I predict quite a few changes this week. Blease is a certainty IMO. Hope he goes ok. Hard to see him going worse than terls.

If Gawn had 87 hit outs in an apparently putrid win and was not named in the best, I would like to know where his hit outs actually went. He must have been flailing about in the ruck like Peter Garrett in his prime.

He was named in the bests.

Those numbers are heartening, even if it was against a side that has decided to fold. A loss would've been a disaster, so they avoided that and hopefully grabbed some confidence out of it.

Will be surprised if at least two inclusions aren't made from this lot. Wouldn't complain if it was three or four.

Tackle counts from Blease & Michie were especially pleasing.

Hope this works. I am a techosaurus.

Interesting read. Doubt JKH is in the mix but Strauss, Blease and Michie might be.

Would have thought a comment that JKH is in 'good form' is a good start.

Also pleased to see Michie and Clisby noted for their improvement. They'd been treading water all year so good to see them both take the feedback on board and get better this week (obviously a rather large grain of salt with Bendigo, but improvement nonetheless).

From the player reviews on the club website:

He was really dominant, when in the ruck, having 87 hit outs for the day, playing on a much smaller ruckman. We found while Max’s ruck work was dominant, we weren’t getting a huge advantage due to our mids and Max not being on the same page with the hit calls. It’s something we’ll continue to work on with him. Max worked really hard throughout the day and followed up his ruckwork really well.

CLEAN HANDS by KC from Casey

The Casey Demons headed into town and up Sydney Road to take on the lowly Coburg Lions who have been perennial VFL easy beats and sitting on one win for the season. Last year, Casey beat them in a practice match when resting their AFL listed players. That’s how bad they were. Nobody respected them on Saturday and clearly not the Demons who came to the game with 22 players (ten MFC), but whether they came out to play is another matter because for the most part, their intensity was lacking an

    ALAS SPRINGS by Whispering Jack

I got the word on Saturday from someone who knows someone inside the Fremantle camp that the Dockers were pumped and supremely confident about getting the W the next day against Melbourne at TIO Traeger Park in the red heart of the country. I was informed that the Dockers were extremely confident for a number of reasons. They had beaten the Demons on their home territory at the MCG at their last two meetings so they didn’t see beating them at Alice Springs as a problem. They belie

    TROUBLE by The Oracle

Situated roughly in Australia's geographic centre, Alice Springs has for many years been a troubled town suffering from intermittent crime waves, particularly among its younger residents. There was a time a little while ago when things were so bad that some even doubted the annual AFL game in the town would proceed.  Now, the hope is that this Sunday’s Melbourne vs Fremantle encounter will bring joy to the residents of the town and that through the sport and the example of the participants,
