Post Match Discussion - Round 12

We saw how important Tyson has been to our last month - no Tyson yesterday and our clearance work went down the toilet. With Cross doing tagging jobs it means it's Nathan Jones or nothing without Tyson. Dom's going to have to learn how to shake a tag because it's going to come more often now.

Cross did an unbelievable job (again) on Beams.

Vince did OK v. Pendles.

And I didn't notice the tattooed matress with arms and legs either.

You might get your wish regarding Tyson getting more ball next time, but I'd bet that their 3 will have better output as well.

The midfield wasn't our real issue, as they have as much pace as Collingwoods. It was their dashing rebounding line-breaking half-backs that we couldn't match nor counter.

Fool.

Roos said it took ages to work out who to sub, Jamar got subbed because wanted a small bloke who can score

.....AND I think he also said that he thought that Max would have more legs left than Jamar at that stage of the game

If we drop Gawn for balance now, who goes out when Hogan is fit?

That wil be a very happy dilemma....when the time comes.

Hopefully Chip back (or out if he doesn't put pen to paper by then) may free up a a slot

lol what

On a positive note

Great job to all the dees fan that went yesterday, we clearly outnumbered the filth supporter numbers.

The roar after jones kicked the first goal was the loudest I have heard at a dees game for many years.

Keep giving the boys that sort of support and it will be a quicker rise up the ladder

We didn't outnumber them unfortunately. Would have been nice, but no. It was more like 1 to 3.

  • REPORT: St. Kilda

One of the big stories of the AFL off-season was the spending spree of Melbourne’s Round 1 opponent, St Kilda. They splashed out heavily, first to retain Nasiah Wanganeen-Milera - the hero of last year’s epic come-from-behind miracle victory -turning him into a $2 million man. They then effectively took out an expensive overdraft to recruit a string of expensive players from other clubs. It was a risky investment strategy and, although it’s still early days, it certainly failed to pay off in Sunday’s season opener, with much of the glitter turning to fool’s gold.
