Its hard to say too much for various reasons, but from experience,lets just say he is more like Mark Neeld than Paul Roos.

If that's the case we need Dom to send out some texts to Jeremy Cameron, sheil, treloar, and co and see if we can get a couple into the red and blue

I think in this current free agency environment if you're not prepared to sign good talent you risk falling back into mediocrity. Some of you say throwing piles of cash at someone isn't the "Roos way" but he had a number of stars on his teams with the likes of Goodes so I think it's an ignorant way to look at things. Sydney built a good culture and that doesn't mean you can't sign good talent. Free agency is an important change in the industry and the club can either be at the forefront and be prepared to pay talented players or it will bite them in the bum down the track (think of how the Chicago Bulls have struggled to sign big free agents since Jordan left, partly as a product of ownership reluctance to pay big for stars).

We were paying Clark $600,000 a year so I don't see why or how Cameron isn't worth an extra $400,000. Get him.

Do you know how much the cap will be and what % his salary would consume?

Do you know what Jones, Frawley and Tyson will be getting paid? Is it fair to pay them big salaries because they are already here?

Do you know that based on a salary cap of $9mil, if we are only paying 90%, we have approximately $900k we could be paying to a player right now? And that cap is growing each year, to the point where a $1mil p.a. salary is not as exorbitant as it once was.

Do you know what cap flexibility we have now, especially with Clark off the books, in terms of front loading contracts, making it easier to fit bigger salaries in going forward?

Hogan and Cameron could well be a dangerous forward line for the next 10 years and add dawes and watts to that and we are in a good spot

4 year deal 1 mil a year to get an all Australian key position forward who is only 20 and still has miles of room to improve.

Sydney have players on that or more, hawthorn would be paying buddy that if he stayed, Geelong players take pay cuts to stay together but our culture isnt at that stage yet.

I am a massive fan of danger's and would do anything to get him to the club but midfielders, seem to come and go every year.

A 20 year old who already has an All Australian label, nearly a Coleman in his second year and is just an out and out star is waaaaaay to good an opportunity to let slip.

We have truck loads of cash available in the cap, more so with Mitchy boy pulling the pin so there is no issue there.

This would give us strongest forward line in the comp for at least the next decade!!

Cameron's manager would be well aware of his value and as the press are already touting a figure of at least $1m the bar has been set. They will have seen Buddy go to the Swans for $10m and be well aware that Cameron has much more upside in terms of age on his side, having come 3rd the Coleman medal in just his 2nd year and even more impressively, being named as All Australian full forward in just his second year in the AFL.

Jones is rapidly becoming one of the most valuable midfielders in the entire competition and as such, his value will be climbing at a rapid rate... yes, he appears to bleed red and blue (hate that expression), but the club needs to pay him what he is worth to ensure that he is not tempted to go elsewhere. Just because players are already with the club is no reason not to increase their payments as reward for effort and improvement - and in the case of players like Jones, Garland, Dawes etc, that is an investment in the club's finals chances; Frawley, I'm kind of ambivalent about.

Why is he being played down back for GWS, what is the real issue?

You know what... I have a feeling Geelong may disregard Dangerfield and go very hard at Cameron. I think he is worth a lot more to Geelong as their depth is lacking in their forward line. They rely so heavily on Hawkins that if he goes down they don't really have a good key target to kick to, so they have to swing Harry Taylor forward which ultimately upsets their structured backline.

That saying, that'll potentially open the door for us to then target Dangerfield with less competition provided my initial statement is correct. I don't know about you guys, but for some reason I see Cameron in a Geelong jumper.. Suits him.

the other thing to consider is that Jeremy is going to cost at least a mil a year which I think he's worth, but also probably our first pick and a player, who would you be willing to part with to land him? get ready for them to ask for Tom Mcdonald and pick 5 or something like that, if we were to land Cameron it wouldn't be cheap.

I think whichever was chosen, the MFC would have done well... particularly Dangerfield who as well as being an elite mid is also very handy up forward..

I reckon Cameron is looking like being the best tall forward in the comp for 10 plus years, Fyfe and Danger are gun mids but I reckon Jack Viney and Dom Tyson could be as good as those types so i'd take Jeremy.

Its Dangerfield for me, explosive ,match winner, who can play midfield and forward, and lead by example.

Sign and trade I believe are possible: you can negotiate the trade and contract mutually so long as the player agrees to the trade (as you said), and then trade off the asset. I'm surprised this hasn't been more prevalent in recent years.

Step 1: Negotiate trade with GWS, including contract size for Frawley

Step 2: Sign Frawley

Step 3: Trade

Step 4: Extend Cameron contract

Step 5: Profit

But yeah, Frawley won't agree to a trade to GWS even for a million dollars a year.

QUESTION: Would people trade Watts and a pick for Cameron?
