DeeSpencer 26,667 Posted March 6, 2014 Posted March 6, 2014 [censored] Reported on footy show a knee to the back caused a stress fracture and some inflammation in his back. Will miss at least a month (and we should be conservative and take a long time). Bad for the young guy and very bad for the team given Dawes and Clark are also injured.
jumbo returns 6,744 Posted March 6, 2014 Posted March 6, 2014 Reported on the FS…potentially stress fractures. 426.
Machsy 2,858 Posted March 6, 2014 Posted March 6, 2014 I'll wait for confirmation from the club before necking myself on the word of Barrett.
Wormburner 674 Posted March 6, 2014 Posted March 6, 2014 I hate Barrett, he is such a dick! You could see the smirk on his face as he spoke about it.
Machsy 2,858 Posted March 6, 2014 Posted March 6, 2014 Even if Barrett is correct, Grimes had the same thing. No issues for him since (re: his back, at least).
DeeSpencer 26,667 Posted March 6, 2014 Author Posted March 6, 2014 I'll wait for confirmation from the club before necking myself on the word of Barrett. They don't invent injuries. If he's getting scans on his back it probably means he's at least not playing Saturday and every chance to miss round 1. We just hope it's not too long.
Machsy 2,858 Posted March 6, 2014 Posted March 6, 2014 I can wait a few rounds. I can wait a season if need be. He is the future.
DeeSpencer 26,667 Posted March 6, 2014 Author Posted March 6, 2014 Even if Barrett is correct, Grimes had the same thing. No issues for him since (re: his back, at least). Think you mean Nathan Jones who had a fractured back from a heavy hit didn't he? Round 22 maybe 2011? Sometime like that. I'll stay positive about long term problems due to lack of information. But short term it's a real let down.
Machsy 2,858 Posted March 6, 2014 Posted March 6, 2014 Grimes in his first season. But yes, Jones also.
beelzebub 23,392 Posted March 6, 2014 Posted March 6, 2014 tell me someones [censored] kidding ...please
mjt 640 Posted March 6, 2014 Posted March 6, 2014 As a MFC supporter it's virtually impossible to stay positive it's just one thing after another.
DeeSpencer 26,667 Posted March 6, 2014 Author Posted March 6, 2014 Trying to remember who's hospital kick in to the forward line resulted in Hogan getting nailed in the back. Would be a strange irony if Hogan got smashed in the back by Lonergan who once lost a kidney from a Brad Miller knee in the flank.
DeeZee 7,496 Posted March 6, 2014 Posted March 6, 2014 Looks like Pedo and Fitzy are our key forwards this year.
DeeSpencer 26,667 Posted March 6, 2014 Author Posted March 6, 2014 so......why was he named ??? Either: A. Team was named before the scan and he only had a bit of soreness and they thought he'd be right OR B. Name him anyway to boost the crowd
mjt 640 Posted March 6, 2014 Posted March 6, 2014 Looks like Pedo and Fitzy are our key forwards this year.If that's the case you can kiss Chip goodbye.
Guest Posted March 6, 2014 Posted March 6, 2014 Fantastic. Just absolutely [censored] fantastic. We finally get a midfield, and what do you know. We have Cameron Pederson to kick it to. Our forward line will be a powerhouse this year
Bobby McKenzie 2,408 Posted March 6, 2014 Posted March 6, 2014 so......why was he named ??? Exactly. No mention of injury on MFC website.
DeeSpencer 26,667 Posted March 6, 2014 Author Posted March 6, 2014 Looks like Pedo and Fitzy are our key forwards this year. At this rate I'm thinking Max King and Lynden Dunn.
