Jesus, no more photos of Mark Neeld. I just had a relapse :P

Scary isn't it.

He came highly recommended by Collingwood.

Garry Lyon "helped us out"with that one.

Selective at best...

Quotes from the Sun....

"(Neeld) said he wasn't too happy with the defensive side of my game and I had just had a meeting with the midfield coach prior to meeting who said to me they were extremely happy with defensive side of my game.

"There were a few things that were confusing at Melbourne, but I was a lot more confused that day."

and

"He says he never had words or disagreements with senior coach Neeld, but clearly "the relationship deteriorated" from Neeld's end."

Its inexcusable in a winning or losing side. And Magners issues were not isolated. This has been typical across the playing group.

So you keep telling us, often, ad nauseum and obsessively.

I have so many more photos for you mate.

I know it painful but without pain we will never fully recover

But here is some more uplifting photos for you.

Bring on 2014.

In his very own words Magner stated that Mark Neeld told him why he was dropped after round 9 yet people still claim that Neeld did not communicate properly with his player. Those who have a knowledge and a working experience of football clubs where you can only fit 22 into the main team from a list of in excess of 40 will know that these things are commonplace. It happens at successful clubs but the atmosphere is different because the team is winning.

Fair dinkum. They need to put a bubble over this picture with the caption "I told him I wasn't happy with the defensive side of his game".sad_mark_neeld400_18rt112-18rt117.jpg

Magner was under a temporary rookie uplift at the time and he was due to return to that status within a few weeks. He didn't have priority over the team interests but sadly at this club, we developed a soft[censored] attitude over the years that will continue to haunt us unless we get over some of the stupidity expressed in some quarters over this story.

Neeld communicated with the player, but it seems he didn't communicate with his line coach to make sure the message to the player was consistent. Maybe this is one of the things Royal-banshees had been long searching for?

A solid reason why he should've been given the sack a long time ago!

Who knows? But the mixed messages are there, if you believe Magner.

As you say, Magner clearly didn't understand the gravity of his own situation, that being a temporarily upgraded rookie who was giving an average output at AFL level.

I'd say he got some exposure at AFL level, but not enough to really understand what it took to succeed at that level, overestimating his ability to do that.

Why would anyone listen to Royal at all, ever.

Especially given the results he was getting.

Still-gen Y are wagging the dog at other clubs and they were here.

The last of the gen x crew tried to sack the admin also.

GenX should have shown genY how to behave.

They ended up getting a discipline man like Neeld because the leaders wouldn't take control of the youth.

What a mess.

Some people like you need to be told often.

Hardly Royals fault if Neeld did not communicate with line coach????

Try following your own advice and take a well earned hike.

And I trust you don't have to be told often.

It's also possible that Royal was not listening to Neeld and not sticking by the party line.

A bit like when Dad says No and then Mum says Yes because it is non confrontational.

That'll do thanks.

I am and you can take this as a warning. Let's try keeping things civil and on topic please.

Sad sights indeed WYL. Lets hope such losses are behind us all.

The picture stood out to me as they appeared to be truely hurt by the Teams performance.

This is the type of supporters we all should love.

Pity our teams was so bad in 2013 and the previous six seasons.

Possible but proof?

As much proof as you have that Neeld didn't convey his message to Royal.

I was not saying that was the case just pointing out there are two possibilities.

They are still well and truly on board.

I have met them at the Wharf Hotel a couple of times.

I can see Brian royal as the old bloke who doesn't know how to dial on his iPhone let alone check his emails..

Thanks for conforming the double standard on civility. Much appreciated.

Lol. How does that medicine taste?

  • AFLW REPORT: Port Adelaide

Well, that was a shock. The Demons 4-game unbeaten run came to a grinding halt in a tense, scrappy affair at the sunny, windy Alberton Oval, with the Power holding on for a 2-point win. The Dees had their chances—plenty of them—but couldn't convert when it mattered most. Port’s tackling pressure rattled the Dees, triggering a fumble frenzy and surprising lack of composure from seasoned players.

  • AFLW PREVIEW: Port Adelaide

The undefeated Demons venture across the continent to the spiritual home of the Port Adelaide Football Club on Saturday afternoon for the inaugural match for premiership points between these long-historied clubs. Alberton Oval will however, be a ground familiar to our players following a practice match there last year. We lost both the game and Liv Purcell, who missed 7 home and away matches after suffering facial fractures in the dying moments of the game.

  • AFLW REPORT: Richmond

A glorious sunny afternoon with a typically strong Casey Fields breeze favouring the city end greeted this round four clash of the undefeated Narrm against the winless Tigers. Pre-match, the teams entered the ground through the Deearmy’s inclusive banner—"Narrm Football Weaving Communities Together and then Warumungu/Yawuru woman and Fox Boundary Rider, Megan Waters, gave the official acknowledgement of country. Any concerns that Collingwood’s strategy of last week to discombobulate the Dees would be replicated by Ryan Ferguson and his Tigers evaporated in the second quarter when Richmond failed to use the wind advantage and Narrm scored three unanswered goals.

  • CASEY: Frankston

The late-season run of Casey wins was broken in their first semifinal against Frankston in a heartbreaking end at Kinetic Stadium on Saturday night that in many respects reflected their entire season. When they were bad, they committed all of the football transgressions, including poor disposal, indiscipline, an inability to exert pressure, and some terrible decision-making, as exemplified by the period in the game when they conceded nine unanswered goals from early in the second quarter until halfway through the third term. You rarely win when you do this.

  • AFLW PREVIEW: Richmond

Round four kicks off early Saturday afternoon at Casey Fields, as the mighty Narrm host the winless Richmond Tigers in the second week of Indigenous Round celebrations. With ideal footy conditions forecast—20 degrees, overcast skies, and a gentle breeze — expect a fast-paced contest. Narrm enters with momentum and a dangerous forward line, while Richmond is still searching for its first win. With key injuries on both sides and pride on the line, this clash promises plenty.
