New to melbourne.......please explain SEN 1116

Well to all the Denham haters I say this.

I despised him for years but all of a sudden mid 2013 he was proved correct.

Our drafting was terrible and our management from the chairman done was worse.

He was proved correct on 90% of his comments.

He will never be top of my pops but the guy is not as stupid as many of you believe.

He had the MFC dead correct.

I thought the same old dee but he just continues to belittle us despite netting Roos and Jackson.

His most ridiculous call has been that Hogan, Clarke & Dawes can not play in the same forward line but Paton, Cameron and Boyd can. A forward line of Clark, Dawes and Hogan is no different to the Meth Coast forward line a couple of years ago which had Lynch, Kennedy & Darling. That worked very well for them

He is a [censored] there is no doubt about it

Enjoy melbourne, easily the best city in the world (and I have spent a lot of time traveling). Morning Glory with Tim Watson, Andy Maher and sometimes Andrew Gaze is the best radio you will hear. Run home can be touch and go, 774 or Dire Straits in the arvo if Robbo is on!

I started a thread on him a while ago. You can look it up he is described pretty accurately by the posters.

His only positive in the last few years for the MFC was Roos.

So he was correct then?

I have stopped listening to KB on thursday and fridays between 9 and 10. But yes Greg has been correct about 2013. However I hated when he called us the bears. But its funny when he bags other teams. When he had a go at hird and essendon during the saga it was just great to hear him really have a crack at hird.

But did you listen the other day when he couldnt remember who the kid being boyd was that was going to go number 1. He actually said it was Hogan. Sorry greg hogan is ours already.

He is a Demon hater and bater. Having people hate your club is a good thing.

I cannot wait till everyone does!

I can explain SEN 1116 for those new to Melbourne.

It is a radio station devoted to sport and advertising.

It employs ex jocks and sporting hacks.

They struggle to find content to fill the day so they rabbit on about whatever twaddle they can manage to think of and call it information.

The rest of it is devoted to promoting gambling.(except for the OX-who is a reformed mad punter).

He, like the host KB and the rest of the terribad journos from The Australian that frequent KB's show are just your run of the mill "shock jocks". Will say anything to upset people enough so they call in.

If they were on the internet they would be called trolls, and there is a reason people say 'DO NOT FEED THE TROLLS'.

I very, very rarely listen to SEN between 9 and 12.

I too rarely listen to SEN but I have heard KB and Denham several times and i do believe they have an agenda to discredit The MFC !! they do not waste an opportunity to sink the boot in!!

the last time i heard them, they were spouting on about the succession plan and how KB couldn't understand why they were doing it, as obviously KB knows everything about everybody and everything!!!!! and lets everybody know about it!!I know its his job with his lacky Denham to be controversial and antagonistic but they are always getting stuck into us and i i feel, rightly or wrongly that it is designed to damage the Demon brand for whatever reason.

I would love Doctor Turf to plant one on Gollums dial and lay him out in the studio. Now that would be great radio!!

Well Old Dee

I am certainly know expert about footy, but, you didn't need to be one to write about 2013 and describe it just so, and for that he gets paid !!

If it looks like a turd, smells like a turd , it probably is!!

Every blind dog finds a bone once in a while !!

He has been saying it for 5 years so while we all thought we were going in the right direction he was saying we were hopeless from the Board and GM down.

Lucky or not he was 100% correct.

100% correct like the rest of us!! As i say you dont need to be a so called expert to know we were rotten to the core and needed a total clean out of personal. Most of whom were probably well meaning but hopeless, in what they were trying to perform!!

Its probably because most of us take criticism to heart when its about our beloved Dees and the truth is hard to take, but I do believe he leaves no stone unturned to give us a chinning along with Gollum

  • AFLW REPORT: Port Adelaide

Well, that was a shock. The Demons 4-game unbeaten run came to a grinding halt in a tense, scrappy affair at the sunny, windy Alberton Oval, with the Power holding on for a 2-point win. The Dees had their chances—plenty of them—but couldn't convert when it mattered most. Port’s tackling pressure rattled the Dees, triggering a fumble frenzy and surprising lack of composure from seasoned players.

  • AFLW PREVIEW: Port Adelaide

The undefeated Demons venture across the continent to the spiritual home of the Port Adelaide Football Club on Saturday afternoon for the inaugural match for premiership points between these long-historied clubs. Alberton Oval will however, be a ground familiar to our players following a practice match there last year. We lost both the game and Liv Purcell, who missed 7 home and away matches after suffering facial fractures in the dying moments of the game.

  • AFLW REPORT: Richmond

A glorious sunny afternoon with a typically strong Casey Fields breeze favouring the city end greeted this round four clash of the undefeated Narrm against the winless Tigers. Pre-match, the teams entered the ground through the Deearmy’s inclusive banner—"Narrm Football Weaving Communities Together and then Warumungu/Yawuru woman and Fox Boundary Rider, Megan Waters, gave the official acknowledgement of country. Any concerns that Collingwood’s strategy of last week to discombobulate the Dees would be replicated by Ryan Ferguson and his Tigers evaporated in the second quarter when Richmond failed to use the wind advantage and Narrm scored three unanswered goals.

  • CASEY: Frankston

The late-season run of Casey wins was broken in their first semifinal against Frankston in a heartbreaking end at Kinetic Stadium on Saturday night that in many respects reflected their entire season. When they were bad, they committed all of the football transgressions, including poor disposal, indiscipline, an inability to exert pressure, and some terrible decision-making, as exemplified by the period in the game when they conceded nine unanswered goals from early in the second quarter until halfway through the third term. You rarely win when you do this.

  • AFLW PREVIEW: Richmond

Round four kicks off early Saturday afternoon at Casey Fields, as the mighty Narrm host the winless Richmond Tigers in the second week of Indigenous Round celebrations. With ideal footy conditions forecast—20 degrees, overcast skies, and a gentle breeze — expect a fast-paced contest. Narrm enters with momentum and a dangerous forward line, while Richmond is still searching for its first win. With key injuries on both sides and pride on the line, this clash promises plenty.
