Colin Sylvia going ... going ... GONE!

So long Col! Did some great things when you could be bothered.

Could have really been something but sadly i will always remember you as being the boy who never emotionally matured into a man.

By your own choice.

Wow. What a 2006 pic.

Says it all without saying much (or identifying the young woman).

Pretty much lol he gave her a flogging one night while drunk and police were involved.

Can we keep it above board or just move on?

Thankfully, we have used FA to our advantage (imagine that hennypennys) and spun Sylvia into Vince.

End of a story, start of a new one.

For mine his latest inane comments only to go to dismiss any if possible lingering doubts that hes has always really been a lazy , selfish , non team orientated cancer within our midst. His delusion borders on a total misunderstanding of his own intellect and his demeaning seeking of excuses on narcisssm .

I have no idea what freo or indeed Lyon thinks he can do with HiHo nor do I care. Im glad we are ridding ourselves of this ilk. we were never going to climb whilst his type was amongst us.

cant wait to play freo

Always like Col but his comments that his best is still ahead of him anoyed me. Thanks for nothing Col, To be the player he wants and Freo xpects he needs to take responsibilit for his own performance rather than wait for a good team help him get better. He had the ability to drag the MFC kicking and screaming to where it needed to be but instead cruised through his career in second gear and then gaves us the thumb.

Hope he gets to play finals and recon he will as small forward for Freo but it will annoy me

Yep I agree. Under Ross Lyon he will get a huge reality check

And quite possibly will start to realise his potential.

...or not

Don't know Undeterred - but you seem to recognise it. As lawyer or defendent?

And just for kicks, dare i say...CAPTION THIS:colinsylvia.jpg

"Can't wait to go Freo, Beamer! They're gonna make me into a star, just like I always wanted!

And I'm gonna be at a great club, just like you! And I hear Northbridge is a good as Fortitude Valley.

You were so right - karma IS a [censored]!

By the way, didn't manage to watch many Brisbane games this year - how many wins did you guys get?

Must be great playing under an inspirational guy like Vossy..."

Vince will make a lot more of a difference than Sylvia ever could at this point in time.

Extremely happy with how things played out here.

I wanted Sylvia to be captain a few years ago. Since then I've watched him find himself second to the ball more often than not. Then he had to try to tackle, which he didn't do too well and, let's face it, he really didn't want to tackle. Players have to want to defend; it doesn't happen naturally. When he hit the ball running, every now an then, he was unbelievable. I don't expect him to succeed - a la Woey - and it is quite possible, he will be watching future demons performances thinking: " Geeezuuus. I could have been part of that!"

Clearly he did not want to be at the MFC any longer.

So good luck to him.

Now lets build a Club everyone wants to play for.

Despite his physique, he always thrived as an outside runner and finisher.

He is like a Buzzard. Reliant on others to do the job before they would involve themselves.

I am sure he will thrive at Freo where he has players to do things before he has to involve himself.

To that end - maybe he will play the best footy of his career...

Leadership. Las Vegas style.

No wonder we had such a leadership vacuum for so many years.

These guys look like a couple of peacocks. Hardly senior players in the mould of the likes of Luke Hodge and Cameron Ling.

It’s been a season of grit, growth, and glimpses of brilliance—mixed with a few tough interstate lessons. Now, with finals looming, the Dees head to Kardinia Park for one last tune-up before the real stuff begins.

  • DRAFT: The Next Generation

It was not long after the announcement that Melbourne's former number 1 draft pick Tom Scully was departing the club following 31 games and two relatively unremarkable seasons to join expansion team, the Greater Western Giants, on a six-year contract worth about $6 million, that a parody song based on Adele's hit "Someone Like You" surfaced on social media. The artist expressed lament over Scully's departure in song, culminating in the promise, "Never mind, we'll find someone like you," although I suspect that the undertone of bitterness in this version exceeded that of the original.

  • AFLW REPORT: Brisbane

A steamy Springfield evening set the stage for a blockbuster top-four clash between two AFLW heavyweights. Brisbane, the bookies’ favourites, hosted Melbourne at a heaving Brighton Homes Arena, with 5,022 fans packing in—the biggest crowd for a Melbourne game this season. It was the 11th meeting between these fierce rivals, with the Dees holding a narrow 6–4 edge. But while the Lions brought the chaos and roared loudest, the Demons aren’t done yet.
