It's so frustrating how hard we have to work to get one miserable goal and they get it back in two seconds because their midfield just wins one contest after the other.

At least we are trying hard.

Watts has played pretty well

Anyone see what happened to Spencer? Down off play with no one near him but minson? Got up and was taken off for a breather.

Wrapped with the endeavour

What a surprise we scrap and get a goal again and these tossers kick another one from a centre clearance

Strange game, (well) apart from about 20mins weve matched if not beaten them.....

Howe took a screamer in the backline earlier calling it amazing on the radio...anyone able to post it??

It was the same last time we played them and we almost lost it in a quarter. It's both a positive and a negative. At least we are playing competitive football for longer periods but it's poor we let sides walk all over us for a quarter.

Should be on the afl website soon.

Now for a new dawn.

Well thank god that seasons finally over...!

Another horrible year draws to a close

On today's match four damning stats

Free kicks WB 23 - 16 Mel

Clearances WB 47 - 29 Mel

Disposals WB 403 - 295 Mel

Contested Poss WB 148 - 103 Mel

Free kicks are umpires just being dogs but a few were paid because they were in there harder

Clearances and disposals are areas we are continually smashed in

If/When Paul Roos takes the job we will become better at this as all of his teams that he has coached have been contested ball beasts and I believe he can attract the right calibre of player to take us forward as a midfield and as a whole.

Forget the haunting of Round 11 — we’ve got this. Melbourne returns to its inner-city fortress for its milestone 100th AFLW match, carrying a formidable 10–2 record at IKON Stadium. Brisbane’s record at the venue is more balanced: 4 wins, 4 losses and a draw.

  • DRAFT: The Next Generation

It was not long after the announcement that Melbourne's former number 1 draft pick Tom Scully was departing the club following 31 games and two relatively unremarkable seasons to join expansion team, the Greater Western Giants, on a six-year contract worth about $6 million, that a parody song based on Adele's hit "Someone Like You" surfaced on social media. The artist expressed lament over Scully's departure in song, culminating in the promise, "Never mind, we'll find someone like you," although I suspect that the undertone of bitterness in this version exceeded that of the original.
