Thanks for the updates KC!

Fantastic win for Casey, great to hear about some of the boys having great games, fingers crossed for Hogan.

I really feel sorry for those Bendigo boys. The vfl and afl need to sort out this competition quickly, although I imagine it is already too late for it.

two big possession games for the Toump on a row now. Might deserve a call up but after the year he has had I'd almost say leaving him at carry to get a month of great form, lots of touches, self confidence and winning feeling back hopefully through a finals series will be better for him.

He haven't had to many kids go back or come up through Casey over the last few years who were capable of getting 31 touches. 22 normally gets you promoted!

Thanks KC!

So next week is the fight for second on the ladder then?

Box Hill vs Scorps at Box Hill on Sat

...and of course it won't be televised!

KC, mush appreciated as always, you're a champ!

32 to the Toump, 5 to Taggert.

Surely Taggert gets a run this week.

Magner..52...lol, that's ridiculous

There of course is no time to hurt a knee but hopefully it's a strain for Hogan rather than structural and won't prevent him doing a full pre season.

Really shows how good Toumpas could be as soon as next year with a full pre season and getting the tempo of AFL

Any idea on J.Tynan's stats? Even Luke Tynan would be good to pickup next year, seems to be in the best most weeks.

The Doc at Casey thought Hogan's injury wasn't going to be serious. We can only hope! I was 10 metres from him when he did it.

It was from a vertical leap out on the half forward flank. Dan Nicholson could kick it would have hit his chest. Instead it was way over his head, Jesse jumped and as I followed the ball there was a very loud crack. I felt sick whe I realised who it was !!

Credit to Jesse he got up within 10 seconds and made his way off the ground. Guys who do ACL's rarely get up like that.

Please cut us some slack footy gods. If he played today he would have kicked 10 for sure. Casey annihilated Bendigo.

Speak of Best, Best, the Casey player seems to be kicking goals and playing well every week, could be worth looking at but i dont know what sort of player he is?

Justin Sherman maybe?

I'm not a massive fan.

Absolutely ! This guy will be on a rookie list next year at least. He is a smart footballer with pace to burn. Knows where the goals are to

All who are calling for Taggert, Toumpas and Magner to get a senior game, I ask "why now"?

I watch Casey week in week out and you can see Toumpas developing at this level and Taggert has come on in leaps and bounds as well.

Granted, they couldn't do any worse than our current "firsts"!

Casey are trying to secure second spot on the ladder !

Leave them there to get some consistency in playing together and to gain some confidence from playing finals.

Some maybe unaware but in previous years the MFC have screwed Casey by playing guys in the last couple of rounds and making them ineligible to play at Casey in their finals campaign.

Let's have these guys play finals and hopefully go all they way for Casey !

I think that experience and development will far out weigh debuting Taggert and co.

Rant end.

VFL eligibility has changed so we should have no problems there.

I think it can be invaluable to give young players a taste of AFL footy late in the year. You hear many players say that it helped drive them during the next pre season having had a taste and realising where they need to get to. EG Tom McDonald. This could be great for Taggert

Shouldn't of been playing anyway.

I was having this discussion with my old man three weeks ago, telling him MFC only has 2 things going for it, Viney and Hogan.

And there is no use Hogan running around in the VFL after the mid way mark, what do they expect?

D*ckheads if you ask me.

This argument is raised all the time.

It's utter crap.

You can do your knee at training. You can roll your ankle running in the park. Essentially, you can get injured at any time, it's often nothing but luck.

I'd rather Hogan continue to build confidence and understanding at Casey.

Looks like we need to take Boyd in the draft after all.

Demonland Trackwatchers braved the sweltering heat to bring you their Preseason Training observations from Gosch's Paddock on Monday morning. SCOOP JUNIOR'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS I went down today in what were pretty ordinary conditions - hot and windy. When I got there, they were doing repeat simulations of a stoppage on the wing and then moving the ball inside 50. There seemed to be an emphasis on handballing out of the stoppage, usually there were 3 or 4 handballs to

WAYNE WUSSELL'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS Rehab: Lever, Spargo, McAdam, Lindsay, Brown Sinnema is excellent by foot and has a decent vertical leap. Windsor is training with the Defenders. Windsor's run won't be lost playing off half back. In 19 games in 2024 he kicked 8 goals as a winger. I see him getting shots at g

BEST OF THE REST by Meggs

Meggs' Review of Melbourne's AFLW Season 9 ... Congratulations first off to the North Melbourne Kangaroos on winning the 2024 AFLW Premiership. Roos Coach Darren Crocker has assembled a team chock-full of competitive and highly skilful players who outclassed the Brisbane Lions in the Grand Final to remain undefeated throughout Season 9. A huge achievement in what was a dominant season by North. For Melbourne fans, the season was unfortunately one of frustration and disappointment
