I await Roos' appointment with anxious anticipation. As an old Demon supporter, I have cast my mind back. It will be 50 years since our last premiership. In that time, we have had only one coach who has coached an AFL/VFL premiership. Ron Barassi coached us for 111 games from 1981-5 (nigh on 30 years ago) that fostered the relatively-successful Northey years. Before that, there was this chap named Norm Smith. It's about bloody time we had a premiership coach.

In I suppose typical MFC fashion, I'm ready for Roos to turn around and tell us to get stuffed. However my hopes are soaring, but I'm doing the best I can to stay grounded.

It's like I'm 5 again and it's Christmas eve, except this time I won't be sleeping for the next week.

Maybe this thread can be morphed into the "sack paul roos" thread once we are 5 rounds into the 2014 season. Then it ll definitely become the longest thread.

I simply think he has a decent respect for others he would want them to have of him.

Exactly, that too. He's a guy who knows how a footy club should work.

I don't have foxtel so I don't really know about the 'branding' part. I just hope he has seen it as a way to make a living whilst not being directly involved in footy at a club level.

After seeing the professionalism of Jackson and now Roos in the last couple of months, I think we are in very safe hands going forwards lads.

Provided Roos signs on of course.

I'd say if we added up all the pages from all the different threads on Watts from just before we drafted him to now, then Jack Watts would win by a mile.

This is even excluding all the non-Watts threads that always magically turn into a debate about whether Jack will "make it" or not.

Actually that gets me thinking, do you guys think Watts will become a great player? Whats your thoughts?

2024 Player Reviews: #36 Kysaiah Pickett

The Demons’ aggressive small forward who kicks goals and defends the Demons’ ball in the forward arc. When he’s on song, he’s unstoppable but he did blot his copybook with a three week suspension in the final round. The tough on baller won his second Keith 'Bluey' Truscott Trophy in a narrow battle with skipper Max Gawn and Alex Neal-Bullen and battled on manfully in the face of a number of injury niggles. TRAINING: Wednesday 13th November 2024

A couple of Demonland Trackwatchers braved the rain and headed down to Gosch's paddock to bring you their observations from the second day of Preseason training for the 1st to 4th Year players. DITCHA'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS I attended some of the training today. Richo spoke to me and said not to believe what is in the media, as we will good this year. Jefferson and Kentfield looked big and strong.  Petty was doing all the training. Adams looked like he was in rehab.  KE

2024 Player Reviews: #1 Steven May

The years are rolling by but May continued to be rock solid in a key defensive position despite some injury concerns. 2024 Player Reviews: #4 Judd McVee

It was another strong season from McVee who spent most of his time mainly at half back but he also looked at home on a few occasions when he was moved into the midfield.
