I agree that his output hasn't been acceptable however you can't compare goals.

Gawn played 90% of his time up forward and 10% in the ruck.

Jamar was the opposite. I don't think he is the type to take a few bounces down the members wing and slot one from 55 either

No he is not going to take a bounce and slow one from the wing but neither is Gawn.....

Good ruckman these days need to have a presence down forward and when Jamar was at his best 10/11 he was kicking goals too.

I think until the end of this year...
Have Gawn as number one ruckman. Have Jamar in a forward pocket/flank and have him relieve.

Remember, Russian is coming to the end of his career and is a life member. In handling this, the club needs to be delicate. We have burnt way too many blokes on the way out an it needs to be relayed to Russian that he can still have a role at the club by helping the next generation come through. If we wreck another relationship (Flash is another who will be going soon), we may be speaking of our late 00's to 2010's in a similar way that Richmond speaks of their late 80's/early 90's. A period of scorched earth where club servants were simply told to POQ.
