Frawley is elite

And some idiots are happy for him to go if he's unhappy.

Can you blame him for being unhappy? It's hard to be good when you're surrounded by [censored].

Too many players that cannot kick and too many slow players. Need players who despise losing

Pedersen is painful to watch

We can't be losing Frawley or Watts

Let me also say for those who rattle on about how Chip is a [censored], selfish etc., you are muppets. He has given Buddy a bath today when it was possible he was going to kick 15 if you consider the quality of disposal into the Hawthorn fifty. We lose him, we get set back another 2 years. That simple.

Great attack from Dawes, however if he had of bumped a player like that without the ball he would have got 4 weeks.

These are some of the same people who proclaimed Brad Miller the next Jon Brown and Juice Newton the saviour

Haha. Bail, you make me laugh.

If anyone thinks being a Melbourne fan is rough right now, bear in mind we have young talent to work with and some good bookends. Just switch over and look at how st. Kilda are travelling against norf. That's with Hayes, roo, montagna, dal santo all 30 or so. There are a lot of positives with our group. As I type that, bail drops a ball and gifts ANOTHER GOAL.... FMD!

Bail has some upside. You wouldn't question his effort but the amount of brain fades are beyond a joke!

Bail should never wear a Melbourne jumper again.

Turned it off, until next week...peace

I've said before if frawley absolutely wants to go then its pointless keeping him. I DON'T want him to leave but if his heart isn't there it lose / lose.

Up to 15 goals now. It's just pathetic now.

I have a question:Why do the Mark Neeld/Don McLardy/Cam Schwab cheersquad never turn up on game day?

Down by only 9 goals at 3 QT....

Following a disastrous 0–5 start to the season, the Demons have now made it three wins in a row, cruising past a lacklustre West Coast side on their own turf. Skipper Max Gawn was once again at his dominant best, delivering another ruck masterclass to lead the way.

It's Game Day and the Demons have a chance to notch up their third consecutive win — something they haven’t done since Round 5, 2024. But to do it, they’ll need to exorcise the Demons of last year’s disastrous trip out West. Can the Dees continue their momentum, right the wrongs of that fateful clash, and take another step up the ladder on the road to redemption?

  • FEATURE: 1925

A hundred years ago today, on 2 May 1925, Melbourne kicked off the new season with a 47 point victory over St Kilda to take top place on the VFL ladder after the opening round of the new season.  Top place was a relatively unknown position for the team then known as the “Fuchsias.” They had finished last in 1923 and rose by only one place in the following year although the final home and away round heralded a promise of things to come when they surprised the eventual premiers Essendon. That victory set the stage for more improvement and it came rapidly. In this series, I will tell the story of how the 1925 season unfolded for the Melbourne Football Club and how it made the VFL finals for the first time in a decade on the way to the ultimate triumph a year later.
