Game Day Thread - Hawks v Daemons

Featured Replies

As there was no game day thread yet, thought I may as well give us a space to vent.

daemon (/ˈdmən/ or /ˈdmən/)[1] - a computer program (AFL team) that runs as a background process, rather than being under the direct control of an interactive user (coach).

I've decided to save myself a two hour train ride and hold my head in my hands at home today.

Cheers to those that are there.

Yep. Good to see fitzy run out. We no longer look like a team of skinny kids. But the outcome - well let's hope.

Woke up sick as a dog. Would normally harden up and go, but feel that being physically ill should not be compounded by being emotionally ill at my footy team. Couch and drugs it is.

Could be the best viewing experience for a while!

come on DEES!!!

Just got dropped in interview that lingy has been working with Trenners over the week

Gee we can't kick at all.

Lance "don't you know who I am?" Franklin came into the game thinking he was going to put on a show

Geez. I feel sorry for our backs. Wonder how long we can keep up the good tackling pressure. Hopeless pressure from watts

Omg watts was on the bottom of a pack

Pedo awfully slow

Give him a break... he's done a few good things already including nicely rounding up Burgoyne just now.

They've kicked a goal. Time for our boys to drop their heads

Good to see a few tackles layed early resulting in free kicks

Inaccuracy is keeping us in the game. This is a smokescreen.

  • DRAFT: The Next Generation

It was not long after the announcement that Melbourne's former number 1 draft pick Tom Scully was departing the club following 31 games and two relatively unremarkable seasons to join expansion team, the Greater Western Giants, on a six-year contract worth about $6 million, that a parody song based on Adele's hit "Someone Like You" surfaced on social media. The artist expressed lament over Scully's departure in song, culminating in the promise, "Never mind, we'll find someone like you," although I suspect that the undertone of bitterness in this version exceeded that of the original.

  • AFLW REPORT: Brisbane

A steamy Springfield evening set the stage for a blockbuster top-four clash between two AFLW heavyweights. Brisbane, the bookies’ favourites, hosted Melbourne at a heaving Brighton Homes Arena, with 5,022 fans packing in—the biggest crowd for a Melbourne game this season. It was the 11th meeting between these fierce rivals, with the Dees holding a narrow 6–4 edge. But while the Lions brought the chaos and roared loudest, the Demons aren’t done yet.
