Positives: What are we looking for today?

Featured Replies

I'll start this off, today, I would love to see us:

- Working for each other; one thing I've noticed this season is that players are not running hard enough to shepherd for their teammates, this must change.

- Take the game on, use the corridor. Dare i say it, I'd love to see an element of Bailey's game, where we play on at all costs and take risks.

- Move fast from the kick-ins, don't wait for Garland or someone to lumber back to take the kick-in, i want us to move it as fast as we can.

- Play the Jack Watts, Jeremy Howe swingset (one on the wing, one forward and rotating)

- Give Dawes and Fitz a chance, honour their leads, and trust that kicking to them whilst they are running at full-tilt is a better option then putting it on top of someone like Davey's head in a contested situation.

Most of all, I'd like to see us walking off the ground with our heads held high, knowing that we gave it our best shot.

......Oh, and this may be too much to ask, but I'd love to see no more 'Sack Neeld' threads for just one day. There's one with thousands of replies already, use that. Cheers

more rain please

At all kick ins I'd get Dunn to torp it to the centre.

At least we might get a chance of kicking a sausage on the fast break.

Our kick ins are too slow and sloppy.

Rain the likes of which we've never seen before. And two significant wind shifts.

Worth a shot

I would like the umpire to act like a primary school teacher and make some of Hawthorn's players swap teams to make things more even.

A gust f wind to lift Guerra's wig to lift clean off his head and into Jollimont Railyards.

And quick decisive kick ing to advantage

Less than 100 point loss and no injuries to young players. Only realistic hope I have.

Not fussed about the scoreboard

AFL standard effort would be a pleasant change

I found it interesting that the Hawks coaching staff had more games accumulated at Melbourne than our entire list and coaching staff

There are actually 5 of them that have had a Demon connection

6 of their 9 coaching staff have been involved with demons - Clarkson, Beveridge, Fagan, Yze, Bruce and Ratten

A good send off for Neeld. Aparently his last game, being reported on most footy programs this morning.

the final siren

The positive is if we get flogged and ends Neelds coaching career.

Lol there is one every week.

Fitzpatrick to show a bit

Melbourne returned to its city citadel, IKON Park, boasting a 10–2 home record and celebrating its 100th AFLW matchwith 3,711 fans creating a finals atmosphere. But in a repeat of Round 11, Brisbane proved too strong, too fit, and too relentless.  They brought their kicking boots: 9 goals, 2 points.

Forget the haunting of Round 11 — we’ve got this. Melbourne returns to its inner-city fortress for its milestone 100th AFLW match, carrying a formidable 10–2 record at IKON Stadium. Brisbane’s record at the venue is more balanced: 4 wins, 4 losses and a draw.

  • DRAFT: The Next Generation

It was not long after the announcement that Melbourne's former number 1 draft pick Tom Scully was departing the club following 31 games and two relatively unremarkable seasons to join expansion team, the Greater Western Giants, on a six-year contract worth about $6 million, that a parody song based on Adele's hit "Someone Like You" surfaced on social media. The artist expressed lament over Scully's departure in song, culminating in the promise, "Never mind, we'll find someone like you," although I suspect that the undertone of bitterness in this version exceeded that of the original.
