Should the Board and the FD join Demonland?

Why haven't you got the guts to call yourself Dr Who, Whoey?

He used to be then he got banned from memory.

EDIT: What ever happened to Jose Mourinho & Artie Bucco anyway (there was another who I can't recall as well - posted fervently for about 6 months then stopped funnily enough just as Artie started posting - then Artie stopped and Jose began...)

This is a well-run organization we're talking about here. Exposing it to the current Melbourne board would simply spread the infection here.

Because I'm not, your nickname signify your outlook on life does it?

You gonna go anywhere near the topic or just have a go at me, let me know, I love jousting

With apologies to the mods thought this board was more of a kakistocracy

E25?

Trying to justify your previous post, bit late isn't it.....that is not the context you used it in..........nut job...very gratifying, really getting under your skin aren't I.....thought you were going to ignore me, bit hard to do, anyway written about you on a couple of posts, go check them out, back to topic.......dedicated and passionate supporters, surely there is some misguidance when using those words to sum up Demonland posters......whingers, whiners, insulters etc would be more appropriate.....I am sure the Club can sort the wheat from the chaff

I haven't been one to criticise your contributions to date but this one is a disgrace. The context the expression "lurking" was used was entirely appropriate and a reasonable discussion could have ensued. Instead you've chosen to flame another poster and another thread will get cluttered with crap.

Now, credit where credit's due. I'm not one of RRs biggest fans but be has succicntly stated why the OP is a bad idea and provided a more useful forum for supporter interraction with the board

Your post further validates his argument. Read. Absorb.

The Board have more pressing issues than join an Internet forum site.

I would have thought that attendance at functions like the recent Trident function would be a more sensible and productive avenue for supporter interaction than some of the toxic soup that served up anonymously on this site.

A huge NO for me.

E25 was my all time least favourite Demonland poster.

Apparently he isn't - some poor bastard on here actually knows them both, in the flesh - can you believe his bad luck?

I think we should begin taking donations to the cover the frontal lobotomy he will no doubt be requiring.

^^what he said, about everything...

E25 was my all time least favourite Demonland poster.

Looks like there is a new contender for that honour...

E25?

Yes, him. He was pretty handy at evading bans, and as mods we hardly had the energy to keep up with him. I took a fairly heavy handed approach last time which has either worked, or he's just laying very, very low now. Given his propencity for not just dying gracefully in the past, I'm guessing the latter.

This thread really unravelled, but there was some useful advice, which I appreciate. I followed this up, and there have been three Board members posting in recent times. They posted under their full names, which makes them official in a way, and maybe the Club could go a step beyond sort of semi-official post and answer selected topics officially.

So clearly the Board, or at least some of them, do read the posts here, or at least some of them, as Dj said. They might be surprised by the language and attitude, but what shows through is the posters' passionate support for MFC.

There were a couple of good one-liners there - the 00 one was a ripper.

Thanks for getting this back on track, michael.

This board seems about as united as the team and club appears to be at present.

I for one believe the board or the 'powers to be' as I like to call them have alot to answer for. They appear to have alot good intentions but little understanding of how to run a successful (on field) football club. What value would they add here as they are more likely to just give the supporters simple spin and ot what we all really want to hear, THE TRUTH.

Its time for not only a change of coach but also the board. Since the 10 goal loss to the Sun I have little interest in what the President, Board, previous CEO or Senior Coach has to say. However that may change if what they say is SORRY just before they resign or are FIRED!

MFC has accepted second place for far too long. Lets take this opportunity to make a clean out in the club so the 13th premiership is just around the corner.

  • AFLW PREVIEW: West Coast

Epic battle alert.  This Sunday, Casey Fields hosts a coach’s showdown pitting the wits of the master Mick Stinear (92 games, 71.7% win rate) against his protégé Daisy Pearce (16 games, 43.8%). Still early in her coaching journey, Daisy’s record doesn’t yet reflect her impact — but she’s already the best-performed coach at West Coast.Dais’ is mythic.  Like Katniss Everdeen, everyone either wants to kiss her, kill her (sporting metaphor) or be her.  Toothers Daisy Pearce is a role model, someone admired for their heart, humility and humour.

  • AFLW REPORT: Port Adelaide

Well, that was a shock. The Demons 4-game unbeaten run came to a grinding halt in a tense, scrappy affair at the sunny, windy Alberton Oval, with the Power holding on for a 2-point win. The Dees had their chances—plenty of them—but couldn't convert when it mattered most. Port’s tackling pressure rattled the Dees, triggering a fumble frenzy and surprising lack of composure from seasoned players.

  • AFLW PREVIEW: Port Adelaide

The undefeated Demons venture across the continent to the spiritual home of the Port Adelaide Football Club on Saturday afternoon for the inaugural match for premiership points between these long-historied clubs. Alberton Oval will however, be a ground familiar to our players following a practice match there last year. We lost both the game and Liv Purcell, who missed 7 home and away matches after suffering facial fractures in the dying moments of the game.

  • AFLW REPORT: Richmond

A glorious sunny afternoon with a typically strong Casey Fields breeze favouring the city end greeted this round four clash of the undefeated Narrm against the winless Tigers. Pre-match, the teams entered the ground through the Deearmy’s inclusive banner—"Narrm Football Weaving Communities Together and then Warumungu/Yawuru woman and Fox Boundary Rider, Megan Waters, gave the official acknowledgement of country. Any concerns that Collingwood’s strategy of last week to discombobulate the Dees would be replicated by Ryan Ferguson and his Tigers evaporated in the second quarter when Richmond failed to use the wind advantage and Narrm scored three unanswered goals.

  • CASEY: Frankston

The late-season run of Casey wins was broken in their first semifinal against Frankston in a heartbreaking end at Kinetic Stadium on Saturday night that in many respects reflected their entire season. When they were bad, they committed all of the football transgressions, including poor disposal, indiscipline, an inability to exert pressure, and some terrible decision-making, as exemplified by the period in the game when they conceded nine unanswered goals from early in the second quarter until halfway through the third term. You rarely win when you do this.
