GAME DAY - Round 8

Featured Replies

If anyone sees Howe, Gawn, and Tapscott please let them know that there is a game going on, and we would like them to come and play if they aren't too busy.

Thanks.

Tapscott has been playing well?

Reckon the tigers will put a heavy tag on Davey, maybe King. Niggle and take his mind off his game. Unfortunately works like a trick every time for Flash. Hope I'm proven wrong.

I agree Bitter. It's half time and I have hope.

Jack Trengove is the only one that needs to wake up and get real.

Absolute joke of a captain.

Love thje intensity but keep it legal - no more suspensions

...but would be worth it to see someone smack Jackson, sorry I'm from the old school were that's what you did when someone wanted to stick there nose in.

Credit to Davey an Dawes , fwd line good. Love to see Howe get involved. Love Tapscotts efforts, defending well just needs to get the ball more.

Or we could put Lights Out Tapscott on to the push up King.

Now for the third quarter fade out......lol.... Maybe i should stop watching....

We are still ball watching a lot.

Our boys need to keep tackling and make a contest of everything!!

Any idea what started and happened in the melee?

The Commentators love for Jake King [censored] me. Most people around the footy world know he is a piece of work outside of the game.

I don't get it, keep calling him a "character" seems like a tossed to me...

Sick of seein Trenners jog in the background 50m away from contests while jones and evans are rolling around in it. Shocking leading by example

<------ we need this man in our team.

Tapscotts playing?!

(And this sarcasm is coming from me, a man with a man crush on Tappy)

He does a lot of stuff that doesn't result in disposals - bumps, running back with the flight of the ball etc.

Edited by Young Dee

if we had Clark, Grimes and Sylvia we would be slaughtering them

they have a full strength team in

maybe add T McDonald for nicho??

I don't get it, keep calling him a "character" seems like a tossed to me...

I think he looks like a complete [censored].

Trenners speed is a real worry.

Deledio is being a [censored]. And Vickery's hideous head didn't help either.

Between him and King, that's a lot of prime punching real estate.

Terlich has been ok.

  • PREVIEW: St. Kilda

It seems like only yesterday that these two sides faced off against each other in the centre of the continent. It was when Melbourne was experiencing a rare period of success with five wins from its previous six matches including victories over both of last year’s grand finalists.  Well, it wasn’t yesterday but it was early last month and it remains etched clearly in the memory. The Saints were going through a slump and the predicted outcome of their encounter at TIO Traeger Park was a virtual no-brainer. A Melbourne victory and another step closer to a possible rise into finals contention. Something that was unthinkable after opening the season with five straight defeats.

  • REPORT: Carlton

I am now certain that the decline in fortunes of the Melbourne Football Club from a premiership power with the potential for more success to come in the future, started when the team ran out for their Round 9 match up against Carlton last year. After knocking over the Cats in a fierce contest the week before, the Demons looked uninterested at the start of play and gave the Blues a six goal start. They recovered to almost snatch victory but lost narrowly with a score of 11.10.76 to 12.5.77. Yesterday, they revisited the scene and provided their fans with a similar display of ineptitude early in the proceedings. Their attitude at the start was poor, given that the game was so winnable. Unsurprisingly, the resulting score was almost identical to that of last year and for the fourth time in succession, the club has lost a game against Carlton despite having more scoring opportunities.

  • CASEY: Carlton

The Casey Demons smashed the Carlton Reserves off the park at Casey Fields on Sunday to retain a hold on an end of season wild card place. It was a comprehensive 108 point victory in which the home side was dominant and several of its players stood out but, in spite of the positivity of such a display, we need to place an asterisk over the outcome which saw a net 100 point advantage to the combined scores in the two contests between Demons and Blues over the weekend.
