This isn't simply a team that is not playing well. We have zero intensity, structure, game plan, commitment or idea what we should be doing.

28 tackles to 3/4 time against GC shows that the players do not want it, are not playing for the coach club or supporters. If the players are trying to kill the club they have almost done it.

Our lazy warm ups, pre season, first quarters are symptomatic of a deep malaise at the club. It appears the players could not give a flying about the fundamentals of the game. Either they realise the club is teetering and this is what they are trying to do or they are stupid dumb footballers with a stupid dumb coaching panel.

Frankly I think they are clueless.

Why they aren't playing man on man football is beyond me.

If they haven't lost 75% of the supporter base by now it can't be too far away.

I love junk time that's were Melbourne is a real football team and I can imagine.....aaaaah! thats better I'm in my happy place now.

is this worse than 186?

It's on a par for me, because we should have won this easily.

I have the same sick feeling in the pit of my stomach....

is this worse than 186?

This whole season has been worse than 186 DD

I honestly don't know what to say...

Sitting here half way through the last quarter.

More seagulls than supporters... I'm speechless.

A nothing topic but God where to next.

Ill still be here week in week out.

I just don't no.

is this worse than 186?

Yes

I am done now. Even my son is given up and doing the dishes

If this continues, which seems very likely, the clubs membership numbers will be less than 20k come 2014.

Mark Neeld should now do the right thing and resign.

Yes

I am done now. Even my son is given up and doing the dishes

So that what we have to do to get the kids to do some chores, make em watch the Dees play!!!!!!!

How do we hope to keep blokes like hogan when our whole club is a mess?

Shite thread.

poor old jonesy, hope neeld doesnt drag him into the presser as well

Agree, he should not drag any player into the presser. Neeld needs to face this on his own.

And the fans are storming the exits.

What all 7 of them!!!!!!

Welcome to MFC Paul Roos.

  • REPORT: Carlton

I am now certain that the decline in fortunes of the Melbourne Football Club from a premiership power with the potential for more success to come in the future, started when the team ran out for their Round 9 match up against Carlton last year. After knocking over the Cats in a fierce contest the week before, the Demons looked uninterested at the start of play and gave the Blues a six goal start. They recovered to almost snatch victory but lost narrowly with a score of 11.10.76 to 12.5.77. Yesterday, they revisited the scene and provided their fans with a similar display of ineptitude early in the proceedings. Their attitude at the start was poor, given that the game was so winnable. Unsurprisingly, the resulting score was almost identical to that of last year and for the fourth time in succession, the club has lost a game against Carlton despite having more scoring opportunities.

  • CASEY: Carlton

The Casey Demons smashed the Carlton Reserves off the park at Casey Fields on Sunday to retain a hold on an end of season wild card place. It was a comprehensive 108 point victory in which the home side was dominant and several of its players stood out but, in spite of the positivity of such a display, we need to place an asterisk over the outcome which saw a net 100 point advantage to the combined scores in the two contests between Demons and Blues over the weekend.

  • POSTGAME: Carlton

A near full strength Demons were outplayed all night against a Blues outfit that was under the pump and missing at least 9 or 10 of the best players. Time for some hard decisions to be made across the board.
