GAME DAY - ROUND 1, 2013

Come on Dees....LIFT.

Dean kent should have been in the side = Terlich should be on. Tappie, Watts, Frawley doing jack

In all honesty, I think we look worse than we did in the corresponding game last year against the Lions. Just woeful.

There is no system in place whatsoever.

Happy they paid Schultz's hanger, even tho he was clearly over the line. Quite the speccy.

Wines smashing it. Toumpas nowhere to be seen. Sigh another recruiting f up?

Gee, I wish we had Wines.

Im up 2 my second bottle.....

You are right BB59

This is the time for Neeld to start coaching

Hope to hear some analysis of this after the game

ie positions players placed Zone of man on man \

opposition tactics and countering moves speed of moves proactive actin taken and impacts.

Watts as loose man in Backline doesnt seem to be working so what response?

Will hope for the improvement but ist sure aint looking good.

I did say there was plenty to be excited about but Im beginning to worry.

Although some see excitement in a train wreck.

No improvement at all. Another year and more teams go ahead of us. The rot at this club seems almost irreversible at this stage.

Still too many passengers or NQR's with bad disposal.

The never ending re-build continues.

God we are missing rivers

Not seeing anything from Watts, Garland, Gillies, Nicholson. Who the f is on Stewart and Hartlett?

You can see the look on the faces of the players. The here we go again face. Sick of this garbage.

We played better 12 months ago. Sick of this " 3rd youngest list" [censored]. Gold Coast has an even younger list n they managed to fight back against St Kilda.

My biggest concern is that we are playing Port Adelaide in Melbourne. God help us if we were playing a good side..

Can someone remind me what Grimes brings apart from bravery?

Gold coast had skills, spread and structures. They are the basics...

Moloney will be toasting...

Toasting what? His 60 point loss or ours?

I think most of us didnt necessarily want a win - just competitiveness, structures and some confidence. Not the same crap. Clark has the worst delivery in the league. Dawesy is probably wishing he went to the dogs...

Our kicking is a joke. 4 goals due to turnovers from bad kicks in the back half. Seriously this is AFL, wtf???

How many pretend footballers can one team have!!

This season is going to be ugly!

Toasting what? His 60 point loss or ours?

At least its warmer up there...

Nah, Toumpas is looks class. I am just a massive Ollie can as well.

Forget the haunting of Round 11 — we’ve got this. Melbourne returns to its inner-city fortress for its milestone 100th AFLW match, carrying a formidable 10–2 record at IKON Stadium. Brisbane’s record at the venue is more balanced: 4 wins, 4 losses and a draw.

  • DRAFT: The Next Generation

It was not long after the announcement that Melbourne's former number 1 draft pick Tom Scully was departing the club following 31 games and two relatively unremarkable seasons to join expansion team, the Greater Western Giants, on a six-year contract worth about $6 million, that a parody song based on Adele's hit "Someone Like You" surfaced on social media. The artist expressed lament over Scully's departure in song, culminating in the promise, "Never mind, we'll find someone like you," although I suspect that the undertone of bitterness in this version exceeded that of the original.
