Can someone help me out quickly here, I'm having a conversation with a Collingwood supporter.

Melbourne has defeated Collingwood in 6 out of a total of 7 Grand finals appearances, and

Melbourne has defeated Collingwood in the last 15 finals between the two teams?

Is this correct?

I think its that Melbourne have defeated Pies 15 times in the last 16 finals.......or something like that.

You might have to break it down for him with a pictorial image . Language and communication is usually performed down a sewer pipe to the next cell wher ethey are from .

I thought it was 6 out of 8 Grand Finals. They won in 1958 and one of the ones when they won four in a row.

6-7 & only one final (58) since 1939.

If you extract three teeth from your top, and four from the bottom, this should help with your discussion and his understanding. Undeniably will bring you down to his level. Collingwood supporters really appreciate this sort of gratitude, anything to help them decipher information put before them puts a spring in their step.

Yep, Demons over 'Pies 6-1. They'll gloat anyway because their single win in '58 defended their record of four consecutive wins.

Lesser known is that Demons are also 4-1 against Essendon. That's something we can all enjoy together.

I think it's 4-2. LG, hats off to you though for erasing 2000 from the memory. The other was 1946.

I don't count 2000 either. Never knew why they cancelled that game...

I just checked wyl - you are correct!

In 18 Grand Finals we are 12 - 1 - 5. That's pretty good!

And we've won 10 of our 12 flags against Essendon and Collingwood!

  • DRAFT: The Next Generation

It was not long after the announcement that Melbourne's former number 1 draft pick Tom Scully was departing the club following 31 games and two relatively unremarkable seasons to join expansion team, the Greater Western Giants, on a six-year contract worth about $6 million, that a parody song based on Adele's hit "Someone Like You" surfaced on social media. The artist expressed lament over Scully's departure in song, culminating in the promise, "Never mind, we'll find someone like you," although I suspect that the undertone of bitterness in this version exceeded that of the original.

  • AFLW REPORT: Brisbane

A steamy Springfield evening set the stage for a blockbuster top-four clash between two AFLW heavyweights. Brisbane, the bookies’ favourites, hosted Melbourne at a heaving Brighton Homes Arena, with 5,022 fans packing in—the biggest crowd for a Melbourne game this season. It was the 11th meeting between these fierce rivals, with the Dees holding a narrow 6–4 edge. But while the Lions brought the chaos and roared loudest, the Demons aren’t done yet.
