MFC 'approach' Kennett

Dees fury at Kennett claim

We're not happy Jan..

Yeah right. The Australian are going to sack Denham over something that most likely did happen!!! I'm sure there are more pressing matters the club need to deal with to be honest......... I despise Denham as much as the next person but to even suggest that Denham should be sacked over this is just ridiculous!

Yes, I did say try. And I was ironically using my flourish to complain about Smith's flourishes...

And I would like to know whether it happened. The club says it didn't. So if it didn't happen than we make sure those that make sh!t up about our Presidency realise that maybe it isn't a good idea to make sh!t up about our Presidency.

The one thing Kennett got right is that Melbourne supporters "would not have welcomed" him.

This was most likely a misguided attempt by some drunk, low ranking social crawler out to impress his mates (or Jeff). Story would have to be at least 6 months as it looks particularly stale in the context of closing out the season sans Bailey and a so far successful transformation of the FD.

denham is one of the lowest forms of journalists who works for an irrelevant paper, he never defends himself he just avoids it by making other more nonsensical comments

I consider myself a reasonably influential Melbourne supporter.

Tomorrow, at Moonee Valley, I'm going to approach Black Caviar to see if there's any interest.

If she doesn't say "neigh", then I'll take it she's in the running for a spot on the board and I'll give the tip to Denham or Patrick Smith - anyone but Sportnewsfirst.

It should be all over SEN next week.

I'm going to ask Greg Denham to be president of the MFC. I'm sure he will appreciate me saving him time for when he next needs MFC material.

Offered the MFC Presidency? Ridiculous.

I wouldn't offer Kennett our used toilet paper*.

*In case you're wondering, I believe that when we want to cut costs we just use Denham articles.

Kennett will possibly be the new "John Elliot"

The media always need a "go to" man .

He'll end up being an embarrassment to himself - if that's possible !

Correction John Elliott - Mr t

Look really it's just a beat-up - who gives a [censored].

Some fwits at Hawthorn have stirred up Geoff Lord to take a shot at the presidency because the Hawks haven't been doing well enough on-field. FFS!!!

"Powerbrokers" "highly placed influential supporters of Melbourne"

There's idiots who support every club, some more "influential" than others, and some of them at our club probably did approach Kennett.

  • PREVIEW: St. Kilda

It seems like only yesterday that these two sides faced off against each other in the centre of the continent. It was when Melbourne was experiencing a rare period of success with five wins from its previous six matches including victories over both of last year’s grand finalists.  Well, it wasn’t yesterday but it was early last month and it remains etched clearly in the memory. The Saints were going through a slump and the predicted outcome of their encounter at TIO Traeger Park was a virtual no-brainer. A Melbourne victory and another step closer to a possible rise into finals contention. Something that was unthinkable after opening the season with five straight defeats.

  • REPORT: Carlton

I am now certain that the decline in fortunes of the Melbourne Football Club from a premiership power with the potential for more success to come in the future, started when the team ran out for their Round 9 match up against Carlton last year. After knocking over the Cats in a fierce contest the week before, the Demons looked uninterested at the start of play and gave the Blues a six goal start. They recovered to almost snatch victory but lost narrowly with a score of 11.10.76 to 12.5.77. Yesterday, they revisited the scene and provided their fans with a similar display of ineptitude early in the proceedings. Their attitude at the start was poor, given that the game was so winnable. Unsurprisingly, the resulting score was almost identical to that of last year and for the fourth time in succession, the club has lost a game against Carlton despite having more scoring opportunities.

  • CASEY: Carlton

The Casey Demons smashed the Carlton Reserves off the park at Casey Fields on Sunday to retain a hold on an end of season wild card place. It was a comprehensive 108 point victory in which the home side was dominant and several of its players stood out but, in spite of the positivity of such a display, we need to place an asterisk over the outcome which saw a net 100 point advantage to the combined scores in the two contests between Demons and Blues over the weekend.
