Got a Baby in the family? Free Guernsey

Featured Replies

Posted

The Melbourne Football Club, in conjunction with New Balance, is recruiting new supporters by giving away 300 guernseys to babies.

You can nominate any child under two years of age who doesn’t yet barrack for Melbourne, be it your own child, a grandchild or a friend’s child who you want to see grow up in red and blue.

Sign up for baby demon jumper

P.S. baby can be in "cooking" stage or upto 2 yo max

I should have held off a few weeks on buying my newborn a membership.

You don't have to buy a membership....its gratis

Put his name in and get a free jumper

I got my grandson in, just in time before he turns 2. Jumpers sent out within 3 weeks, great deal

paid $70.00 for one only a couple a weeks ago for my 6 year old from the demon shop , so now the 4 year will want a new one too ...

there's no flies on you andy

Thanks daisycutter, just dobbed in my little nephew.

Same. Thanks dc.

The dropdown came in handy , hey andy.

Mine turns 3 in a two weeks time. So it will be interesting to see the size.

Just dobbed in my 9 week old (still in the factory!). Geez, the Mrs will love it when I receive that in the post (she barracks for Geelong!).

Thanks so much, Daisycutter. My son under 2 is already signed up for his third consecutive year of membership in 2012, but I've dobbed in my soon to be born daughter!

Awesome! I got one for my 18 month old son. Also have another one on the production line, but unsure what to put since sex is as yet unknown, therefore his or her name is not yet agreed on!

Just use name "unknown"

From someone on ology who enrolled someone as "unknown"

"Thank you for signing up Unknown to be a baby Demon. We hope Unknown will grow up to love the Club as much as we do and wear the red and blue with pride for many years to come.

Unknown's guernsey will be sent out in approximately three weeks."

Too late, all allocated. Happy I got one and I'd probably have felt greedy nabbing two of them anyway. All good, love the initiative.

Poor little jack/jacqui will be so disappointed when he/she is born.

Gotta be quick around here.

Think I missed out -any chance of another issue Jimmy?

My boy is gonna be a biggun-about 6 foot 5 plus going by the science .

Hopefully he'll earn one of his own in 16 years or so !!!!!.

His mum is quick on her feet , and I ran straight through packs in my day .

Unfortunately I ran through packs very slowly .

  • REPORT: Fremantle

For this year’s Easter Saturday game at the MCG, Simon Goodwin and his Demons wound the clock back a few years to wipe out the horrible memories of last season’s twin thrashings at the hands of the Dockers. And it was about time! Melbourne’s indomitable skipper Max Gawn put in a mammoth performance in shutting out his immediate opponent Sean Darcy in the ruck and around the ground and was a colossus at the end when the game was there to be won or lost. It was won by 16.11.107 to 14.13.97. There was the battery-charged Easter Bunny in Kysaiah Pickett running anyone wearing purple ragged, whether at midfield stoppages or around the big sticks. He finish with a five goal haul.

  • CASEY: UWS Giants

The Casey Demons took on an undefeated UWS Giants outfit at their own home ground on a beautiful autumn day but found themselves completely out of their depth going down by 53 points against a well-drilled and fair superior combination. Despite having 15 AFL listed players at their disposal - far more than in their earlier matches this season - the Demons were never really in the game and suffered their second defeat in a row after their bright start to the season when they drew with the Kangaroos, beat the Suns and matched the Cats for most of the day on their own dung heap at Corio Bay. The Giants were a different proposition altogether. They had a very slight wind advantage in the opening quarter but were too quick off the mark for the Demons, tearing the game apart by the half way mark of the term when they kicked the first five goals with clean and direct football.
