"I think it's terrible with what's been going in recent times with appointments that have been leaked out by clubs and things like that that to try and rain on the parade."

I think McChins is having a dig at us, I cant see who else it would be who has been making announcements about coaching appointments

doesn't he realise that he doesn't set the agendas and time frames for other clubs.

I was looking forward to a little less hubris after yesterday but I think it lasted all of a couple of hours.

Maybe he's annoyed we got Craig hubris or jealousy difficult to tell.

Don't actually think it was us. He is referring to teams announcing their coach leaving before the new club can get a presser up. It has become a habit. We didn't even announce our GWS defector going until they said he had chosen them.

Hope the wheels fall off ,the motor breaks ,rust forms ,etc .

Sick of the Filth and their crap.

Hopefully ,this is the beginning of a long slow decline .

Yeah I don't think it is about us. I got the impression it was previous clubs announcing that assistants are leaving. I remember port announcing that Bailey got the job at MFC.

I don't think he was having a crack at us, but not altogether sure who he is having a crack at!

It's interesting reading this article, I firmly believe Malthouse wouldn't be quitting the game if he had the blessings of the Pies to continue coaching, but because through the whole year Eddie's been saying stuff like "contract" and "lawsuits" I think he's just sick of it. I also reckon if they hadn't put this succession plan in he would've been more than happy to continue at Collingwood.

Surely not us - it seems likely Collingwood leaked the Neeld appointment on the Friday when he told them he was off, before his announcement as our coach on the Saturday.

No fast and furious

Wasn't it Eddie who first mentioned Tom $cully last march???

Hmmm didn't help our season either chins...

Poor Eddie -- really feel sorry for him --NOT!!

Maybe he thought the 'draw' aka rigged schedule wasn't quite tuned right, or maybe the goal umpiring (giving them false hope)!

Anything to distract from the coaching instability that HE created and Perpetuated throughout the season, almost every week.

Well, Eddie, I hope you enjoy figjam because that is what YOU have chosen.

  • REPORT: Carlton

I am now certain that the decline in fortunes of the Melbourne Football Club from a premiership power with the potential for more success to come in the future, started when the team ran out for their Round 9 match up against Carlton last year. After knocking over the Cats in a fierce contest the week before, the Demons looked uninterested at the start of play and gave the Blues a six goal start. They recovered to almost snatch victory but lost narrowly with a score of 11.10.76 to 12.5.77. Yesterday, they revisited the scene and provided their fans with a similar display of ineptitude early in the proceedings. Their attitude at the start was poor, given that the game was so winnable. Unsurprisingly, the resulting score was almost identical to that of last year and for the fourth time in succession, the club has lost a game against Carlton despite having more scoring opportunities.

  • CASEY: Carlton

The Casey Demons smashed the Carlton Reserves off the park at Casey Fields on Sunday to retain a hold on an end of season wild card place. It was a comprehensive 108 point victory in which the home side was dominant and several of its players stood out but, in spite of the positivity of such a display, we need to place an asterisk over the outcome which saw a net 100 point advantage to the combined scores in the two contests between Demons and Blues over the weekend.

  • POSTGAME: Carlton

A near full strength Demons were outplayed all night against a Blues outfit that was under the pump and missing at least 9 or 10 of the best players. Time for some hard decisions to be made across the board.
