Demonland Banner

Sycophant ;P

Because I designed 85% of the current banner, I'm going to have a crack at designing a new one taking all suggestions on board.

NOTE: Am replacing Jim Stynes as I believe he has looked over the club enough... and it's now time for the playing group to step the frig up!!

Is it just me or does Trenners look like he's giving Jurrah an uppercut? Maybe you should have moved $cully into Liams spot for a bit? ;)

our new coach should be placed on the banner

Being the designer-head that I am, I dislike the clutter of all the players in the current banner, so I'm using the idea of a select few (young) players (maybe four?) on the banner but the images will therefore be alot bigger etc.

I have started preliminary work on the new banner (that is collecting images). It looks like Jamar, Jordie and Jones might get a gig. Also Moloney and Watts may get one too. Trenners is a certainty and i'm still tossing up whether Sylvia stays and I will await any announcement re: captaincy to see whether Greeny stays. Davey will most likely get dropped as will Grimes but for different reasons. Frawley will most likely stay too.

Very pleased to see Jones being selected he give his all to the club.

Moloney and Trenners are in the same camp.

Our captain should be there.

Something like this... something a bit more refreshed:

Thoughts...? In particular from the mods.

lol @ the arms on Moloney.

I like it for the record, in particular having a team shot as a background image. Jonesy probably gets the most animated after kicking a goal so I like the use of that one too.

no from me. i like the format of the old banner, just not the players on there or their picture quality (definition). I do however like the good quality images of the players you have.

also i dont like how you see more players numbers than their faces

I like it, but Kaspersky should be removed and replaced with energy watch (photoshop?) and I love that Jordie Mac, chip and Howe get a run too.

Why is Jurrah and Trenners kind of blurry?

I like it but I thought I should let you know that I am part way through doing the banner for next year and don't want to disappoint you or make you go through any unnecessary work. Awesome job though.

I hope you don't mean to be but you come across as having a high opinion of yourself full of your own self importance.

wow! Take that kick in the face LOL

Slapped twice.

I like it though, cudos on the effort.

I was inspired this morning to complete the Demonland Banner for the 2012 season. I couldn't fit everyone in but I thought this group represents what we need to take out the premiership in the coming years.

Firstly the colour. I chose the black and white with the red showing theme because it makes the red really pop. The red represents the blood we all bleed for the club and the black and white has a real silver look to it represents the silverware we hope to obtain. Also some of the images didn't match in quality and resolution and the black and white really masks that.

Jimmy is a given. I thought the image that I chose was perfect and I really hope that Jimmy is around to see the success that's coming.

I thought I'd include the new coach as a show of support and that we are right behind him as we begin our campaign.

I chose the players to represent different aspects - Trenners & Watts (the future), Chip (Defence), Jarrah (Forwards) & Jamar (Middle). I initially had Jones and Moloney in as well but had to take someone out to fit the coach in. This may change before the 2012 season.

Nice one.

Neeld's shot is very school photo and sticks out like a sore thumb. Like it in principle so once there's a better image I'd slot it in.

That's what I plan to do. Got to wait til preseason for a shot of him in one of those red polo shirts that the coaches wear.I'm not going to attempt a dodgy photoshop job to achieve it.

Great work Andy and good choice of players.

Absolute Top work on the New Banner Andy...A week is such a long time, Last monday i was so down in the Dumps with what our club looked like, Now i have pumped up again, & this Banner represents that.

Well done Mate...Jimmy looks superb.

Great banner, but I'd be lying if I didn't say I was disappointed not to see room made for Jones who has been our most consistent performer and is the heart and soul of the team.

Wheres Jones?

He puts his body On the line everytime, & gets Crunched leading the way?

Why isn't hew Up there, not a pretty boy or Prissy player?

Lets get Hard!

Most excellent!

  • AFLW PREVIEW: Gold Coast

On Friday, the Demons return to our Casey Fields fortress where they have a 77% win rate. The scent of September is in the air and the struggling Suns are on the horizon. The Cranbourne weather forecast? Ominous, like the match itself: a strong chance of carnage. Let’s be honest, last week’s first half against the West Coast was a training drill but we dropped our guard in the final quarter. While this match is a mismatch on paper — second versus seventeenth — football is won in the wind, the contests, and the moments.

  • 2025 Player Reviews: #32 Tom Sparrow

The rugged Sparrow’s career appears to have plateaued in recent years. He makes the side on a week to week basis but he is unable to establish a foothold in the team’s midfield and arguably performs best outside of the contest in a forward position without being a goal kicker. He remains a good honest foot soldier but is not a star.

Fullarton managed a couple of games in the first half of the season but soon found himself back in the VFL. There, he found a niche at centre half back but it was not enough to retain a place on the list at season’s end.

  • 2025 Player Reviews: #35 Harrison Petty

Entering 2025, it looked as if Petty would be secured in a defensive position, but plans shifted and he spent more time forward, averaging just over a goal per game throughout the season. It remains uncertain which area of the ground he will be expected to cover under the new coaching regime.

  • 2025 Player Reviews: #36 Kysaiah Pickett

The dynamic small forward, possessing an innate ability to generate excitement with his explosive play around the goals, successfully transitioned into a role that afforded him more time in the midfield. The club also negotiated a long-term deal with Pickett, thereby eliminating any prospect of a move west by their star young player.

For a few years now, he has been a reliable, hard working pressure forward, but in 2025, Chandler elevated his performance, becoming an integral component of the team with enough versatility to play effectively on a wing from time to time.
