and our own Billy Sneden

I was at a St Kilda game all those years ago and the Saints fans were making horrible comments about Billy. Why are people so unkind??? Did we ever make reference to anything sordid relating to St Kilda ???

Now listen everybody while there is a quiet moment. I have it on very good authority ( a tradey I frequently employ who is shagging one of Earl Hood's maids). Apparently everyone in the Earl's household is walking on eggshells. The Earl is beside himself that he did not get a sniff in the Australia Day Awards. Now I'm sure he will crack tough. but this combined with the reversals from his Cuban adventure could push him over the edge.

We all know what the aristocracy (tories)  can do in these circumstances! Fishnet stockings, garter belt, a rope and hope for a happy ending!!!

Feeling the Earls pain here.

Disgusting in this age of innovation and free trade that the unselfish efforts of the earl are not suitably recognised.

Although I may be incorrect with some of this statement!???????

Correct dpos - you are incorrect. I have no doubt the good Earl was there to do some serious plundering of the natives!!

What is the reason for a title otherwise?

Remarkably civil conversation on many of the threads tonight. Engaging and respectful. Seems to be a lack of pointless arguing and belittling by a certain poster. Makes Dland worth logging into.

Maybe because there is nothing happening?

Et tu Bitter! That is all I can say. I haver never sought recognition as you know but yes if it was earned then so be it, thus the odd gong over the years.

I would have thought my tireless work with the Hood Foundation, dedicated as it is for the rehabilitation of fallen equestrian polo players might have been recognised this year but it was not to be.

But my efforts to help the poor Cubans of late are not recognised, especially here. As the first person to break the U.S. embargo I am their sole export market it seems, not for bananas as I thought but for tonnes of guava paste.  My Fitzroy estate (now minus one maid) is full of shipping containers of guava!  Perhaps Romsey Manner has some space? Can we do a deal? You provide storage space and I can provide pro bono consulting services for investments, SMSF, small business help etc. We are noted for turning around small enterprises such as yours, not unlike Gordon Ramsey's Hells Kitchens!

Just read this fascinating article. What a wonderful idea. Shows imagination and a 'can do' attitude.

No doubt that it will offend those on here who's moral compass is unflinching, so I sincerely apologise in advance.

Funny that the council glossed over their culpabilty in not addressing the danger of the potholes only to take the 'high gound' and whining on about 'sensitivities' .I did my shoulder many years back riding into a very similar piece of road negligence.

Good onya wanksy

This criminal should get 10 years of hard labour for this.

Think of the all the Blue Rinsers who would be horrified at seeing this kind of inappropriate images.

Plus the Council has no more money to actually fix pot holes.

Wouldn't you require your moral compass to find your astrological way and to assist in alchemy Dr?

Well, that may be true in theory, Moonie, but when it comes to earning a quid there's only a certain number of instruments I can keep to hand.

That's nothing compared to what the blue rinsers who chance into  in the humble hamlet of Borewood are likely to suffer.

GAMEDAY: Rd 17 vs West Coast

    CROSSROADS by The Oracle

Melbourne stands at the crossroads.  Sunday’s game against the West Coast Eagles who have not met the Demons at the MCG in more than ten years, is a make or break for the club’s finals aspirations.  That proposition is self-evident since every other team the club will be opposed to over the next eight weeks of footy is a prospective 2024 finalist. To add to this perspective is the fact that while the Demons are now in twelfth position on the AFL table, they are only a game and a half b

    DELUGE by KC from Casey

The Casey Demons overcame their inaccuracy and the wet inhospitable conditions to overrun the lowly Northern Bullants at Genis Steel Oval in Cramer Street, Preston on Saturday. It was an eerie feeling entering the ground that in the past hosted many VFA/VFL greats of the past including the legendary Roy Cazaly. The cold and drizzly rain and the sparse crowd were enough to make one want to escape to the nearby Preston Market and hang out there for the afternoon. In the event, the fans

    INSANITY by Whispering Jack

Somehow, the Melbourne Football Club managed it twice in the course of a week. Coach Simon Goodwin admitted it in his press conference after the loss against the Brisbane Lions in a game where his team held a four goal lead in the third term:   "In reality we went a bit safe. Big occasion, a lot of young players playing. We probably just went into our shell a bit. "There's a bit to unpack in that last quarter … whether we go into our shells a bit late in the game."   Well
