Good news about our bumper crop of bananas then, as I think our border is still closed we get to keep them all to ourselves.

No wonder we have not one a flag for 56 years.

I go back to when Saad left GC and I pushed hard to get him and we were uninterested. While not a perfect defender, his run off the back flank, especially with the new manning the Mark rule, makes him a very valuable player in setting up scoring opportunities.

We have a 100 year plan for our 13th flag. It appears we are on track to achieve this.

Wait for our next rebuild Red, we should not rush our 100 year plan. They will never seen us coming for our 13th flag!

Was speaking to Whispering Jack the last few weeks and he was suggesting we look at Kaine Baldwin a very good player before 2 ACL's curtailed him. I then looked him up and got quite excited and was quietly hoping we would take him with one of our free Rookie spots. He has just been listed by Essendon, which has several new key position players taken and traded recently.

We will see, but I fear he will be a better prospect than Daw and Declase or Farmer and Smith.

Not a lot to beat there Mr. Leg. 10 decent games will see him at the top of the list.

Disappointed that we didn't grab Baldwin.  Could be a gun if he eats enough bananas in the preseason.

Essendon seem to be going for a lot of high-risk high-reward types and plenty of low-possession high-impact types.

Anyone else quietly hoping that they finally do the full house of cards collapse that has been waiting to happen for years?

All they need now is for Hurley's illness to be found to be related to a certain program of medically unsound... hmm... out of respect to Demonland, I won't even use full sentences in case some clutz (looking at you, Jon Ralph, yeah, we all see you there.) is trawling supporter forums for rumours to present as scoops.

I think if we had a complete clean sheet with injuries, it might have been worth considering Baldwin as a medium to long term development player for Ben Brown to mentor over the next couple of seasons. However, with two acl’s and Brown and Weideman likely to miss 4 to 6 rounds, I think we have to go a little conservative with list vacancies. It wouldn’t surprise if we went for only one of Daw or Declase - we’ll know in less than48 hours.

So we should be ready to go at 2024 AFL season?

It is hard to plan these things became of border closures. Our leader is very protective and antivirus.

Demonland Trackwatcher Gator attended training out at Casey Fields to bring you the following observations from Preseason Training. GATOR'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS There were 5 in the main rehab group, namely Gawn, Petracca, Fullarton, Woewodin and Lever.  Laurie was running laps by himself, as was Jefferson.  Chandler, as has been reported, had his arm in a sling.  Lindsay did a bit of lap running later on. Some of the ''rehab 5'' participated in non contact drills and b

There were a number of Demonland Trackwatchers at Gosch's Paddock this morning to bring you their observations from Preseason Training. KEV MARTIN'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS They were going hard at each other. The sims were in two 15 minute blocks. The second block finished a few minutes early, they gathered and had another 7 minutes at it. I think they were asked to compete, as they would play against an opposition. There was plenty of niggle, between some of them. At the end o

Better late than never … and quite frankly, there’s very little to report other than that training took place at Casey Fields this morning, that Tracc was there nursing his rib injury and that some photographs are on the club’s social media including this one of Clarrie in Raging Bull stance that gives rise for confidence. The other news is that the club has a new train on player in 185cm Dandenong Stingrays midfielder Noah Hibbins-Hargreaves (love the hyphenated name which is just so fitti

Welcome back to Demonland for those like me who have been on vacation. I’m posting this with some trepidation because of a certain amount of uncertainty surrounding the return of preseason training in 2025 after a flurry of weddings including those of our coach, one of our superstar players and a former premiership champion player and bloke, not to mention the recent mysterious incident that occurred on the Mornington Peninsula.  I believe that the team reassembles this morning at Casey Fie

    TRAINING: Monday 16th December 2024

Demonland Trackwatchers braved the sweltering heat to bring you their Preseason Training observations from Gosch's Paddock on Monday morning. SCOOP JUNIOR'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS I went down today in what were pretty ordinary conditions - hot and windy. When I got there, they were doing repeat simulations of a stoppage on the wing and then moving the ball inside 50. There seemed to be an emphasis on handballing out of the stoppage, usually there were 3 or 4 handballs to

A few new faces joined our veteran Demonland Trackwatchers on a beautiful morning out at Gosch's Paddock for another Preseason Training Session. BLWNBA'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS I arrived at around 1015 and the squad was already out on the track. The rehab group consisted of XL, McAdam, Melksham, Spargo and Sestan.
