Is this for the football club or red tube?

At lest the MFC ladies team win matches Red

Hi Guys It is amazing what 36 hours can do.

Must say after a day with my Grand daughter and night out with a couple of old friends I am totally at peace with the world.

I think my fears from the last six months have been realized but it is not as though I got something totally unexpected yesterday.

Just reminds me that our list is actually as crappy as I thought.

To all those spruking a top eight finish what can you say?

Forget it guys it will not happen this side of 2019.

A good mate who I go to the football with rang me today and said lets do something else in 2014.

Must say it is temping.

We are starting by going to the GP next weekend and I have planned a cruise with last nights friends it will be booked Tuesday.

My wife told me this morning that there are other things in life and she is correct.

The membership is purchased and I will no doubt get to a few games but the MFC in 2014 is probably more of the last two years.

Enjoy the next 6 days guys.

I think I will go back and do more online gaming.

As I suspect 2014 is already over and may need to revise my 5 or 6 wins.

Oh well there is always the WAFL.

Why would I want to watch Peel Thunder.

Mind you their close to where I live, but awful colours.

You could start at the beginning of this thread, read one page a day, and it would take to the start of the 2015 season.

Clearly the Gods are Angry at us OD

There is nothing new in this DF.

However I have had a fair share of fun outside of the MFC so perhaps it is the MFC they hate and not us?

Not sure about this OD as a gang of another server was hunting me down in Guild Wars 2's World v World last night.

I think the Gods not only hate demons but also Frogs.

Perhaps your machine is possessed, DF. Has it been spending too much time talking to BBO's machine? :-)

Our BBO was an Angry man with regards to his computer and its various infections.

But if I was forced to live in Romsey I would be too.

Another sad day for this club. Have passed on my thoughts on the other thread.

This club, together obviously with their families and friends, has lost fine men in Dean Bailey, Jimmy Stynes, Sean Wight, Stewart Spencer, Peter Szental and some others who I can't recall ATM, in the last few years. Neale Daniher is also not well and it all adds to the difficult and sad times the club has faced over the last few years in a very human way.

That says it perfectly Redleg.

I guess it is just the way of the world but it seems like the MFC are carrying more than their share of tragedy in recent times.

I was today rang by the club trying to get more money from me.

It was an interesting discussion ( not the money ) as we discussed the coming season.

The person who contact me I believe was not expecting a lot more than 2013 it is was refreshingly honest.

I have no idea how these people get themselves up for this thankless job.

They have my admiration way more than the Players and officials who get paid handsomely to perform their functions.

I think he was surprised that I was so cheerful.

He seemed to brighten up substantially after I cracked a couple of jokes with him.

Thank God for these people I wonder where clubs would be without them.

I usually get your cryptic messages dc

But this ones has beaten me

?

you don't remember the poster dr. who (who is a membership volunteer). ask godeesgo sometime

Ok I get your drift.

This person sounded way to young for either but I guess you never know.

Even If it was either they did well today in my eyes.

I suppose you kicked in OD!

No I did not.

I told him to ring me back when we had won six games.

He said he was making a note to do that.

  • REPORT: Brisbane

“Max Gawn has been the heart and soul of the Dees for years now, but this recent recovery from a terrible start has been driven by him. He was everywhere again, and with the game in the balance, he took several key marks to keep the ball in the Dees forward half.” - The Monday Knee Jerk Reaction: Round Ten Of course, it wasn’t the efforts of one man that caused this monumental upset, but rather the work of the coach and his assistants and the other 22 players who took the ground, notably the likes of Jake Melksham, Christian Petracca, Clayton Oliver and Kozzie Pickett but Max has been magnificent in taking ownership of his team and its welfare under the fire of a calamitous 0-5 start to the season. On Sunday, he provided the leadership that was needed to face up to the reigning premier and top of the ladder Brisbane Lions on their home turf and to prevail after a slow start, during which the hosts led by as much as 24 points in the second quarter. Titus O’Reily is normally comedic in his descriptions of the football but this time, he was being deadly serious. The Demons have come from a long way back and, although they still sit in the bottom third of the AFL pack, there’s a light at the end of the tunnel as they look to drive home the momentum inspired in the past four or five weeks by Max the Magnificent who was under such great pressure in those dark, early days of the season.

  • CASEY: Southport

The Southport Sharks came to Casey. They saw and they conquered a team with 16 AFL-listed players who, for the most part, wasted their time on the ground and failed to earn their keep. For the first half, the Sharks were kept in the game by the Demons’ poor use of the football, it’s disposal getting worse the closer the team got to its own goal and moreover, it got worse as the game progressed. Make no mistake, Casey was far and away the better team in the first half, it was winning the ruck duels through Tom Campbell’s solid performance but it was the scoreboard that told the story.

  • PREGAME: Sydney

Just a game and percentage outside the Top 8, the Demons return to Melbourne to face the Sydney Swans at the MCG, with a golden opportunity to build on the momentum from toppling the reigning premiers on their own turf. Who comes in, and who makes way?
